Anders, i vote for somewhere where everyone can see it (also if you are not a member or are not logged in). As KMMI77 posted, its better for you. Also with or without price tag doesn't matter, because even if you luthiers don't put a price tag in your thread, its obvious that you want to sell it. Unless its just playing a Falsetta on an guitar (which is your own guitar and you don't want to sell, or sell later, not now) Anyway, this (posting everywhere) should only be possible if you are a Luthier yourself and active member. Like Stephen, you, Andy, etc. I mean i don't want to see someone selling his guitar in each and every section. That should only be in classified. Anyway, i also voted for "luthiers shouldn't post anything"

But maybe we need a new section where luthiers can advertise their expertise, YOu already have one , it's called the luthiers section .. I think and voted for posting in the audio uploads section, as thats where the audio and video stuff goes this keeps the forum tidy , and maybe if the falseta demonstrating the guitar is good the I can steal it as well. So there are some luthiers here , these I regard as " our " luthiers and on more than one occasion I have asked a question about guitar renovation and care etc , here and always got good advice and plenty of replies .. This is good to have such a wealth of knowledge and experience on hand here. as for advertising here their stuff , I dont mind a bit , in fact I think it's good , thats what they do , build and sell and Im sure they are very proud of their creations, as so they should be , I wish I could build myself a better guitar or two. Furthermore I think the people here , whether they can afford one or not , are interested in seeing and hearing the new guitars as they come out and any innovations , wood and design changes as well. I think they should post a pic or two of a new guitar and a short vid or sound clip in the audio video section and then thats it ,, the contact and further interest etc , should then return to the Luthier section or private messages, The only thing I dont like is when a Pic is posted that hasnt been scaled down and it has to upload at a ridiculously large format that causes the page to be really big and you have to scroll around to see it .......please dont do that. AND .. I have a bit of work to do on an old guitar comming up soon , so I am being nice in the hope of posting a "help I broke something messing with things I have no knowledge of " post in a few months and will be askinga question or two in the luthiers section.

In the end I think the luthiers who put themselves out there and answer questions for free on this forum should get some perks in return like a little free advertising. Many of the non builders here ask questions about set up, repair work, humidity, travel with guitars, or for help with trouble shooting bad sounding guitars. They get good answers for free and they get to hear professional guitar makers mull over their problems together. Where else can you get that and have it specifically focused on flamenco guitars? Couldn't have said it better. This is a pretty democratic site, with a minimum of BS and as such I don't see shameless self promotion being a problem. When it comes around, plenty of people call it out anyways. Of course one can always simply avoid a thread that pushes buttons. In any case if we took the collective experience of the luthiers who post here, it's not insignificant and the ensuing dialog usually is, if nothing else, amusing and sometimes enlightening. Of course, I have some video coming soon. One guitar that might be of interest beyond those who might want to hear one of mine....
