Small signs of life

Hi all, I´m building. Very slow and small output is my way these days.
I have also revised my website and changed adress, telephone number and prices.

Glad to see the creative juices are still flowing, Anders. Take it at your own pace, and best of luck.

Good Job Anders I'll be interested to see how your work progresses after such a big upheaval. Will you be working towards a different look?

As you can see, i have changed my personal look. The guitars will stay the same, but I will work less and have higher prices

Glad to hear from you, and hope things are going to your liking.
Yes, definitely a different look (a bit more Scandi, a bit less flamenco )

When I saw the thread title I was expecting to read about probes going to Mars to look for bacteria fossils.

Best news in a long time!!

I have heard of a few established guitar-makers hanging up their tools (each for different reasons but usually because the market is changing) and every one feels like one more nail in the coffin of the traditional artisan. It is great to see that you are back to building Anders!

RE: Small signs of life (in reply to Anders Eliasson

Thanks a lot for all your kind words. Who knows, maybe there will be more boats, maybe some more Scandi look pictures, maybe a piece on the violin. I dont know. Time will show. Somehow this is a journey to Mars because the little country that I knew has changed a lot in the 15 years I was away. I dont expect to be a fulltime Luthier, but I hope I can build a few instruments here and there and sell them as well. What i will do besides that... I dont know right now.
So here you have 2 more glimpses into my workshop. This is the assembly room. Small and cosy, central heating and fully humidity controlled. I have another bigger room for the machines.

Great stuff - a change is as good as a rest. I'm sure you will settle into things - you already are. Wishing you well for the next phase.

Glad to see you're still building. I haven't visited the Foro much lately and was just searching around for posts by you.

I sure hope the move is a positive one. Aurora and I still talk fondly of your great hospitality on the afternoon we were able to spend with you.

I just had the guitar you made me out this evening and it still sounds (and smells) better than any other Flamenco I've encountered.

Thanks all of you for your encouraging words.
I may post a few pictures of what I do in this thread. And I will do my best to make my guitars sound and smell as good as possible :)

To the left, the bracing for the cedar top negra. Basically a standard flamenco bracing with a little bit more angle in the braces and a bridge strap

To the right, my version of the Hernandez y Aguado bracing pattern for a classical spruce top guitar.
