To be honest rombsix,

I really love lots of stuff that you do and i am definately not the typical guy to be able to judge you, but i think this is way below your abilities...

Thanks for the feedback, Flamencito. My friend was over for the first time so we can jam and find out what sort of material we can collaborate on. We weren't trying to make a video where we showed what advanced music we could tackle. It was just a quick test to see how a recording would look and sound like, and seeing as to how this was the first time we collaborated on a quick work, we decided to share it. Hopefully we'll work on something soon like Roma or Pena Penita Pena. Cheers!

Hi Rombsix,

I have to say it's really nice that you share these kind of moments from your experiences. it's very understanable after you explanation that it could be way more than shown in this first meeting. To me the material choosen in the jam just doesnt fit me at all.

But playing along with a violinist can be great i think. It's one of my favourite instrumnets.. Just invite him to your flamenco repetoire. Looking forward to hear about the development of playing with him...

Ramzi

First of all, you almost smile in this recording. I think thats the first time?? So I think you have enjoyed yourself. If I´m right, continue.
Second... Is this an idea of doing something like Vicente Amigo on ´Roma´track...?

Last. The violinist is good but very classical. And it would suit you better with something like the fiddler the V. Amigo uses. Classical violin is wonderfull in classical music. I really love it, BUT in other forms, it always seems like its out of context. This guys rythmical push and drag is nonexistant and thats exactly what the fiddle can do better than any other instrument and its what makes using a violin/fiddle interesting in rythmical music. The bow a fantastic invention but this guy needs to investigate its possibilities and classical violin training does not provide that. Believe me I´ve been there for many years.
There most be hundreds of fiddlers in Nashville.

even a silent violin is louder than a guitar
guitar = instrument fail

Lenador: Sorry - no more Coldplay.

Flamencito: We'll work on some stuff hopefully...

Anders: I'm just not a huge smiler. And yes - something like Roma. I live 2 minutes away from the Blair School of Music - I need to make some friends there.

Deniz: He had an amplifier on the floor which couldn't be seen in the video frame.
