The good thing about this style of composition is that it's not overly complicated. And still sounds interesting to listen too. I've found that compositions like this work as a good building block for composition and technique. Nice intermediate level guitar solo's are hard to find.
If I were to try to improve on it, the first thing I'd do would be to try to make the picado runs a little smoother, perhaps a little faster. (The last of them sounded the best).
