Holy crap dude I would KILL to be able to play compas like that. I practice but it's just not happening. I don't seem to have nearly as much trouble with falsettas as I do with just straight compas.
About the progression, the A minor 7th chord is pretty cool. Diatonically, A should be major but I guess he's borrowing from the parallel melodic minor? And it's interesting how he gets there; just straight from G#. it sounds very natural.
