Everyone, sorry for placing a promotion here if this is the wrong place, but I thought it might be of interest to the guitarists on here.
Over the last year I've been working on a site for providing streaming flamenco lessons (guitar, singing, dance) from artists in Sevilla. The site just launched with some lessons in place and will be adding more every month. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. The classes are intended to be recorded depending on what people want to see.

I agree with Holy Evil that subtitles in English would be by far and away the best additional investment you could make
You're competing for the American market against Jason McGuire's site which is a really extraordinary resource, so subtitles would be critical even though the site looks fantastic and comes from the motherland.

Thanks for the feedback!
English subtitles will be available soon. Right now, the site is focused on intermediate level flamenco, at which many people already know Spanish.
The goal is to subtitle, but to make sure the context is maintained, so it has to be done right. We believe for learning flamenco it's critical to understand the terms and manners of the art as well as techniques.

mark,
I agree that Jason's site is a great resource, especially for people just starting out. Our goal is to complement that material with guitar lessons focused more on learning in context, especially for things like accompaniment and singing. We also hope to encourage people to visit Spain and study with these teachers.

Congrats for the beautiful site. I guess while waiting for the English Subtitles, we can learn like 10 new spanish words a day and you will be surprised by the end of the month how wonderful your level is with some little grammar as well;))
Cheers

Looks very good. The artists are very good.. A little bit expensive. Are there some other samples which better show what material would be avalible? The teaser video looks great, but I would be happy for an uncut complete scene.

looks very good , something for everyone , you can learn Spanish if you want but I hear the familiar Andlu' accent here , like not pronuncing the S and missing the end of certain words etc.. so I would'nt go for classical Spanish , I suppose you just have to get used to it..... subtitiles would be funny as there would be some ammount of decision making there.......

Arash,
Thanks for the compliments! We strive to work with artists who already have extensive experience teaching, like José Luís Rodriguez or Concha Vargas, or are eager to try in areas where good teachers are scarce (like cante, compás).
Subtitles so far has been our biggest request, so we'll try to get that going soon. As mentioned before, it's a challenge, but i think worthwhile.

Doit, the price is fair. I mean check out the artists. They are all top notch. And we have single guitarists who charge nearly the same.
and others....

However, Joshua, for monthly fee based lessons, its important to know how many lessons are already available to begin with ! I mean it doesn't make sence to start with only 5 or 6 lessons, then add few each month. There should be a lot of lessons already recorded as a Basis to start with, then add new lessons each month. Please inform about details

Wow that was Rocio Marquez in the teaser? I recognized her voice but couldn't identify her visually.
But yes I would like to know too how many lessons there are available now. Otherwise I am more than happy to sign up in a few months, when there's more.
RE: Flamencos por el Mundo - a new o... (in reply to Munin)
Munin,
Yes, that's Rocio. We have around 18 lessons now (I'm finishing edits on a few right now). For guitar, we have a solea para baile and a rondeña coming up.
We will be recording more every month - definitely would like to hear what kinds of material people are interested in.

Seems like a great start! Personally I would be interested in cante accompaniment perhaps also accompanied by some theory and explanation, since that's very rare. I also saw that you have pure cante lessons available too - that's probably a first in the internet world. Impressive. You should keep that up.
