RE: The Cante accompaniment challeng... (in reply to Ailsa

I recorded today and I´ve send my entry to Ailsa.

I didnt prepare much and I only did a few recordings to get volume right.
I played the songtrack on my mp3 over some cheap PC speakers, played along and recorded it all mono directly into my PC.
So relax guys, this is just a foroflamenco challenge. You dont need to polish your shoes or buy a new shirt in order to compete. so:

DEADLINE IS 30TH SEPTEMBER

hey guys, I want to express my strong SUPPORT for extending the deadline until the 7TH!!!!

My computer completely died a few days ago and I'm still waiting for it to get fixed and my new operating system to get here (3-7 days from Wed.) So I for one definitely need the extra time because I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to be in this!!
I have no other way of recording or posting my entry.

Let's make it the 7th!

cool whatever, il get it done...i was thinking of the kids in Africa but what about henry and deteresa1 who really really wanted to be in it ?..

I am eazy...either way.. it just seems that if they really wanna be in it and it wont hurt anyone to extend it for a week to acomodate for them too, its not the end of the world

but il leave it up to you..thinking about it i have to get it done over the next couple of days regardless cause i have gigs on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th and its my birthday on the 5th so i still have to do it before...

I agree, it would give the guy that is named Paco an unfair advantage. How can anyone give Paco a less then perfect score?

Objects or abstract concepts work best, better than person names, so colors like Duende suggested, or cities, mountains, animals, anything of the sort.

Fish!!! Some of these names are synonymous, but I guess that won't matter for the challenge:

anchoa
bacalao
besugo
bonito
breca
caballa
cabracho
congrio
chicharro
dorada
emperador
gallo
jurel
lenguado
lubina
lumpio
merluza
mero
palometa
pargo

pescadilla
pez espada

Here are a few with accented letters:
atún
boquerón
cazón
salmón

Extra points if you know how to say gallo in English.

I like fish
But prefer phobias to the Simpsons

By the way, When is deadline?
Maybe we could push it to December or spring 2010? I suffer from octoberphobia and many people are depressed in November.

nah... you know what... you win deadline is the 30th screw deteresa and henry ..why should we make any adjustments to accomodate them...the rules must be followed blindly ..even if for no real reason besides following the rules blindly even if theres no real consequences for us to help em ..cant stop RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED

Deadline 30th..Anders i leave this in your hands if you wanna change the deadline to allow them in its up to you, i am gonna transfer all the power into your hands and i am not gonna tell you what to do ...well just look the other way when we pass em and pretend we didnt hear em

Howabout Spanish towns ?

Avila
Aviles

Ha-ha funny Florian. Listen dude, I´m not the one farting here. You are. You decided to try to change deadline just because you hadn´t prepared your entry during the last 4 month. (there werent any other reason!!). And now you are trying to cover yourself with Henry and Deterresa. You are SOOOO cheap.

I dont care about deadline 7/10 is great for me. I have recorded. But maybe its a good idea to make things clear. So spring next year. That should give you enough time.

RE: The Cante accompaniment challeng... (in reply to Anders Eliasson

yes it started with a joke for selfish reasons ...but then deteresa and henry made it worth seriously considering...we cant pretend we didnt read what they said just cause i made a joke or was beeing selfish.. can we ?regardless of what i have done or havent..and as i said..i have to complete mine over the next couple of days now anyway..so i have to meet the 30th deadline in anycase

i am not sure whats unclear...we changed a deadline once to try and incorperate Michelob who had hand surgery and wanted to be part of it...

and now we are changing the deadline to the 7th again one more time to incorporate Deteresa and Henry...pretty simple, painless and straight foward

noone misses out and everyone is happy...both times that we changed the deadlines are good enough reasons to me...people really wanted to be in it and for reasons beyond their control couldnt

if i really expected people to change the deadline cause of my silly reasons alone do you really think i would have told you the truth ? or would i have made up a better story ?

would you feel better if my entry was handed in by the 30th and Deteresa and henry and everyone else who wants it have until the 7th ? would that help cure your suspicious mind ?

Lets make it the 7th its just one week for gods sake Who gets hurt by that and why?

Regarding names... i think fish is just as boring as naming the 13 isotopes of uranium? It kills the inspiration, doesnt make me want to play Phobias sound good, but more like a joke. I find the disney figures and fruits also worked well in the last challenges. So, it doesnt need to be spanish or "flamenco". What about beer brands?

Heineken
Warsteiner
Budweiser
Becks
Jever
Desperados (muy flamenco^^)
... etc etc
