Hey Flo

If you are doubting yourself, make sure your guitar is in tune!

Hey i have no problem with the deadline on 30th. But i need to know exactly the time. Like 23:59 on 30th? And which time zone is it? I have a test on the 30th and would like to record it after that.

I've just submitted my recording and...

I hate it. Sloppy!
I'm absolutely inexperienced in accompaniment anyway.

Hi challengers, I now have four entries, but no idea what the code names are supposed to be! Did we ever reach a decision on that??

I think fish got the most votes. With Norman's exhaustive list of Spanish fish names we should be covered.
I thought 'bacalao' referred more to a preparation than an actual fish? Anyway, I had it once..never again

Oh and I should be recording tonight on a friend's computer. can't wait to hear everybody's!

It's 9 in the morning here in UK. So you have more than a day right now. What I'll do is I'll give you a 24 hour warning later on today, so you can work it out from there. For you Flo I guess the deadline will come early morning, so it's flamenco with matchsticks for you.

Happy Birthday, Simon. Are you in Spain, and if so, any interesting local custom in celebrating birthdays which you may enjoy (or suffer) today?

And the same query to Florian and Australia.....?

I never understood the primitive tradition of blowing the years-numbered candles on the same cake which will later be served to guests…. I find it disagreeable that anyone blows eagerly –and repeatedly- on food, leave alone on “my food”.

In Italy there used to be a civilized tradition to bring flowers to your mother on your birthday. I still follow it, and am trying to initiate my girls to appreciating the value in it.

I am in England, where it is cards, some toffee and beer for me Not much different in Spain. I got cake and kisses from the women in my village on my birthday. The fun derived from which, regrettably diminishes with their age

Happy Birthday guys!

Ailsa, you don't need to save a fish for me. I haven't had a chance to work on this challenge, so it's game over for me. I thought I could combine it with the the intermediate challenge, but that one is so freaking hard it is eating up all my guitar time. I guess the challenges were a bit too close, or perhaps the intermediate challenge material is a bit too advanced for me! I'm keeping all the challenge files though - they're great material. I plan on working on this later. It will be very interesting to listen to the submissions. I'm cheering for everyone!

Yes get ridicoulosly drunk, blow a ridicoulos amount of money on shots and spend the following week calling people up and apologising. ..acttualy my birthday was on the monday...and i had to play and went out after every night of the weekend...by the time it got to my birthday i was recoverring and over it..

Man i was so so close to pulling out of this one too. .....but i didnt cause I pulled out of others before but if i didnt have the bad credit i would have bailed on you again ...i did like 100 takes...it took me all night ...and i still dont like it ..i have a saaying i like..." when things get hard, i get going"

anyway i had dvds which i been dying to see all night but couldnt cause i didnt like the audio ... i was gonna send it but i am gonna sleep on it and listen to it again and see if i have the energy to do one more take when i wake up...but atleast i am a litlle more relaxed now..i got something recorded..

brilliant idea i had to leaave it to the last day..."she'l be right mate "

EDIT..

thank you Edguerin

weird I have it listed in my "sent" folder...it's 10 MB is that too big?

The address is right. For some reason on my computer the ".uk" is not part of the link that you posted but I copied in the whole thing so it should be fine..

Don't use the link.... copy and paste the whole thing (including the ".uk") into the "TO:" field in your mail app.

That's what I did...I guess it's just taking a while to get there. we're going to check tomorrow and maybe use a dif. address.

Should I bother trying to reduce the size of the file?
