I wonder why the prof. doesn't have this pic on his website

he took a file to the bracing inside and took A LOT of wood out until it had a proper flamenco sound. Then there was the ugly wack job of a head stock. He sawed that off and made a know one that looked more "normal".

Cool... I like effective working.

$10K? $12K?? $15K?! $21K for an unsigned, workshop guitar?!?! I want to meet at least one chowderhead who has paid this for an Andelusion guitar.

Anyhoo, it appears that our Aussie viking friend has got a whole lot of backtracking to do. Shame really, as many Paracho builders are turning out some truly amazing instruments - as for five-figure price tag workshop guitars, well, Spain can't even charge that kind of price let alone any place else, but whatever.

give 20K to Castillo or Navarro in Mexico and he will build you a guitar with 500 years old wood and machine head from pure gold [:D]

Why don't you join the bare feet society of guitarists? Both Ruben and Paco are members. You will receive an Andalusian guitar as a gift completely free of charge in return for your promotion job.

CuerdasDulces -> RE: who is behind "Andalusian Guitars" ? (Jan. 26 2010 9:29:30)

Yeah, this kid joined the club and he got a free guitar [:D]

LOL. L...O....L....!!!

i was thinking more along of the lines of he just doesn't sleep and relies on drugs to stay alive. maybe that's why he's so jittery.

but all jokes aside, his existence is quite impressive. i mean, look he's:
1)a performing musician
2)a teacher
3)a luthier
4)a paco stalker
5)a marketing guru (though an ineffective one)
6)an internet superstar sensation
7)a fashionista

if he was more honest and straightforward and wasn't such a doo-doo head, i'm sure he could be really successful and liked.

Michael1917 -> RE: who is behind "Andalusian Guitars" ? (Jan. 26 2010 17:31:08)

Well, if the guitars are made in Mexico in a factory or by someone completely not represented honestly by the Andalusian Web site, I think that is pretty sleazy. The guitars may or may not be good, but they are certainly promoted as if they are made in Spain and completely hand-built, etcetera. If the person named is behind the whole endeavor, then his videos on YouTube are also somewhat deceptive because he never says he is behind the manufacture or sale of the guitars and, in a series of videos about buying guitars, explains why Andalusian are far superior than a variety of others, etc. My view is that if you have a product to sell and believe in it, then tell the truth and tell people HONESTLY why you think it is an excellent product. Nothing wrong with promotion--it is necessary in a competitive world. But for goodness' sake be honest.

Sad thing is, I think he is being honest. I mean when he says Segovia invented the classical guitar, and Paco invented the flamenco negra, Faustino died in 1998, that he himself is the only student of PDL, that paco invented tresillos and half compas, La estiba is the most advanced piece in flamenco repertoiry (and his only true correct fingering of it), etc etc, I think he TRULY believes it.[:D]

But this guitar thing is pretty shady. I think he honestly believes they are superior instruments, but he knows they are not spanish guitars. Try to make him lie. See my posted link a ways up where he points out the non andalusian make as the "spanish" guitar.[;)] Ask him on his youtube vid "what is the luthier's name, and where is the shop. I would like to try one cuz I am in spain now...."

I am to scared to post cuz he is crazy and may trace back to my youtube page. My guess is he will either ignore you or delete your question.

Damn..... I missed a doozy. Did Paco really get a restraining order to keep the professor away? [:D]

I would say that contact info in Mexico is pretty conclusive. I was thinking they looked more like the Bartolox Chinese made thingies.

Hey Estebanana, maybe you and Glenn Canin can get a Kenny Hill thing going on and have boatloads of sweatshop guitars made and charge a mint for them and chill at the beach instead of sweating over the workbench. No need for that pesky chiseling, side bending and rosette making. Just let a bunch of other hungry people do it for you. You make more money and just look at all the friends you make when you do business that way. Really, I think you should think about it.

I finished Yaelisa's 2009 season concerts without shoes or socks onstage, dressed all in white linen..... I ended the show with an arrangement of Let it Be. I lost my Lennon specs from the early 90's so the costume wasn't perfect. But can I be in the club too?

.... I can post pictures if proof is necessary.

If the web master of two different company is the same web master or host provider, what’s the big deal with that….???

Example: this web master company

http://www.flamenkos.com/

is the same web master company and has:

Manolete, Manolo San Lucar, Israel Galvan (dancer),
Mayte Martin, Paco De Lucia, Pastora Galvan,
Cristina Hoyos (dancer in Carmen movie),Belen Maya,
Hiniesta Cortez,etc.

Are all of this artists different persons?,
or because the web master is the same means that are all owned by one and the same person…???

The fact that Viva España Digital is the same web master managing, does never mean that its only one person…or owned by the same person…
http://www.libertaddigital.com/opinion/agapito-maestre/viva-espana-27968/

here you can see that even news are on this company…

Escribano -> RE: who is behind "Andalusian Guitars" ? (Feb. 4 2010 4:07:39)

According to someone:

quote:

Andalusian Guitars are build in the same way of the great Luthiers' like Domingo Esteso, Marcelo Barbero and Santos Hernandez.
That really very close to the sound quality of the original ones.

Our Luthiers, whom we believe are very rare to find in these days for their craftsmanship,
are supervised by one of the few "disciple" of Paco de Lucia, Ruben Diaz.

That is the reason for pointing out that they were crated on the same date.
Diaz's authorship behind andalusian guitars doesn't seem to be that much of a secrect anyway concerning Estevans evidence.

Thing's done it seems.

amirdeiran -> RE: who is behind "Andalusian Guitars" ? (Feb. 4 2010 9:32:11)

1) If this guitars are factory made in mexico or in china, why here sells for thousands of Euros in la Sonanta?
https://www.lasonanta.eu/guitarras-flamencas?manufacturer=92
This is one of the best guitar stores in the world, they have any important brand of flamenco guitars.
do you think this people of La Sonanta are fools?
do you think their clients are fools?
I don’t think so…

2) My nephew was also born on September 29 the what?...
that does not mean anything…

All important artists and or commercial companies are protected, and then what…?
do you think Microsoft or Coca Cola are not protected….?
come on…
that’s another nonsense.

3) that lousy paracho web thread you quoted, written by unknown source…is evidence of nothing.

Sorry but, I have the eyes opened.

Good. So please tell us exactly where in Spain these guitars are made, and by whom.

Arash -> RE: who is behind "Andalusian Guitars" ? (Feb. 4 2010 9:56:14)

look amir, i know you are a student of him.
so maybe you are a bit offended by this thread.
or maybe the Prof. sent you to post these stuff?

look, i am 100% right. it is not a question of "same webmaster" etc.
there are just too many coincidences.

Prof. diaz is behind these 2 websites. 100% !

don't force me to use my tools and post the IP address (meaning: the EXACT computer and place) from which Prof. diaz registered these both websites. i don't think your Prof. would like to see that in public !

i have already unmasked your prof. once (an old thread, where he wanted to proove that his website had more visitors than all other websites related with flamenco, etc and where he insulted almost each and every respected member here in the foro)

leave it at that.

believe me, it won't be good for him to keep this thread active!

---

anyone who thinks these guitars (with no luthier mentioned on the lable and no information about the workshop, no info about the place they are made, etc.) are worth the money, should buy the guitar and be happy.

keith -> RE: who is behind "Andalusian Guitars" ? (Feb. 4 2010 10:49:49)

to my thinking "professor" diaz has come across to a lot of folks in a very negative way (see here and at g.s.i.). the andalusian guitars seem to be way over priced and to many of less than stellar quality. it really does not really matter if professor diaz is the man behind the guitar in that both the guitar and the "professor" have been perceived by many to be of marginal quality with respect to their respective species: one being a human and the other a guitar. disregard both and they both go away or at least are less intrusive.
