I bloody love building (trying to build) guitars!!....today!
This isn't the deepest insight and pros may scoff at my 'noviceness'... but just being back in the worskhop is such a nice feeling...smelling the wood, cedar shavings...(the taste of the cedar dust not so much)
sat at work and I'm itching to get home and carry on!
Honestly will post some pictures soon!...if anyones even reading
I making the heel block by stacking the cedar this time. trying to resquare the glued block.
why would my planes cut smooth for all passes and then suddenly tear out?
Perhaos the grain changed just enough, try flipping the plane around and going the other way?
After a crazy buisy summer I spent an hour attacking the dust lined clutter of my guitar work bench. Its a start, perhaps a ritual, should i burn some sage, i dont have any cedar shavings, ring a bell six times, and clap one compas?
And whats wrong with you? Photos or it didnt happen ;)

Ok, couldnt get a photo to upload… :/

I prefer my flamenco guitar spicy, doesn't have to be fast, should have some meat on the bones, can be raw or well done, as long as it doesn't sound like it's turning green on an elevator floor.
