Pepe is a great player but I read he's a French gypsy, do they all look like Irish?

Any news about Diego de Morao's album, will it ever come out? Or something else brewing in Jerez this year? There's now a recording studio in the shop/school called Nagore in Jerez, perhaps it will help the lesser known players to record something.

Tried earlier today to access his new album via his websight but no joy. Not on iTunes near as I could tell

John Walsh's album is amazing.

my teacher in Jerez, Jesus Agarrado el Guardia has came out with his first album
listened to it all week, its a labour of love, all the letras written by him, his children sing on the disc and alot of suprises.

And here is a Turkish guitarist named Kerem, whose release is called “Cuatro Naranjas”.

I don’t know anything about it save most of the release was recorded in Madrid and David de Jacoba and Diego el Cigala sing on it, amongst others, and one track is a Cancion recorded in Tomatito’s studio and features a couple of Turkish musicians on Oud, tambura and voice.

Maybe we should start a new thread first? Anyway here is a Jeronimo Maya cd with rap included. I heard some pieces on Youtube and decided not to buy this one but anyway..

Tangos del punjab... That song name and rap combined in it is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard being called flamenco or even something remotely associated with it.

2022 must have something better coming up from the artists... Unfortunately it seems to me people are recording less flamenco due to difficulty making money by selling albums.

I'm going to be critical of this album by Jesus. I'm a fan of his, but this is by far his worst work in ages. He loses all the fire of La Paquera and adds nothing but worthy studious blandness. He can do so much better.

@mrstwinkle: I just discovered him due to this thread. There's only one album on spotify. Has he made other ones?

I have no other point of comparison but for me it's really my style. The taranta with Israel Fernandez is superbe for me. And I'm gonna dig into Calle Acebuche for some rythmicall ideas.

David is less my style as it's a bit to sweet. But I'm totally into it. Got seduced.

I think he’s talking about the Jesús Mendes release while you’re referring to the Jesús Agarrado release.
