I was wondering - is there a gig bag (soft case) out there with a similar lining?
All the gig bags I am finding online seem to have an inner lining that is either nylon or some other material that I worry is going to scratch the French polish of my new Culpepper.
The reason I prefer to use gig bags for storage at home is because I use guitar supports that fold but will usually not fit in a hard case (which means I'll have to remove the suction cups and put them back on each time I play, and I'm trying to avoid that). The gig bag, being soft, accommodates and fits the guitar + support without having to remove it and put it back on each time the guitar goes in the case.
And y'all know I don't like keeping the guitar outside the case because of the stinky string situation (and just higher likelihood it will get dinged/scratched).
Stefy line is an Italian producer and I’m pretty sure they have or can make what you want. They are pretty cheap too.
They seem to have great products, but it's taken me since mid-November of 2018 to finally get to the point where they are preparing an invoice so I can pay for the product. Today, however, I got an email from the rep there saying that I need to provide them with my social security number before they are able to prepare an invoice for me. That put me off since I've bought tons of stuff online / overseas / etc. before and nobody has EVER asked for my social security number.

Definite red flag, I would think. Can't you just give them a random string of digits of the correct length (but make sure it is not a valid SSN), and see what happens?

I thought about doing that LOL - but I just responded and said that I have never been asked for my SSN in such a context before and I don't feel comfortable giving that out. If they balk, then to hell with it.

Hey Ramz, there is absolutely ZERO reason for them to need your social... so I would cease doing any further business. I’ve been looking for a quality gig bag myself and it seems hard to come by. Have you tried searching/asking folks on the delcamp forum?

I've had one of these for the better part of a year now and I really like it. Very well-made with top grade materials. My only niggle is the external accessory pouch could have a bit more depth. That aside...great design, easily adjustable to fit most guitars.

Is the case pliable so if I wanted to put a guitar in it that has a guitar support attached, would it expand a bit (like will it "give" from the inside a bit) to accommodate the guitar support that juts out about one inch or so? I can't do that with a hard case, hence the need for a soft case...

Ramzi..the case structure does have some "give", so I'm thinking it will meet your needs. I recommend contacting the owner, Reonda, and sound her out. She's very responsive via email.
Here's a video from about five years ago. The cases have evolved a bit (for the better) since the company started.

Ramzi thanks for a great review. Really useful. And certainly the bag looks good and very well designed (get the feeling it was designed by someone who owns a precious guitar ).
My key requirements are weight/comfort - which seems met; that it is really waterproof (here in Spain I can get caught in unexpected torrential downpours ), and that the pocket can hold 25 pages of A4 in plastic envelopes without folding. Now like you I use d'oro so no foot support to carry - which my current gig bag really doesn't like.
Cheers

I used to really enjoy the convince of the soft bag...carrying my extra stuff and cables in there etc...also because it’s soft I could fit it in the trunk on top of all my gear, which most hard cases I had wouldn’t allow for. I used them for my conde and my Cordoba, the main gigging guitars.
After I had the crack repaired on my Conde, that was it, NO MORE soft bag. My cordoba I still use in a soft bag because the handle broke on the hard thin line case. I have yet to repair the crack on the Cordoba.

I think what you have there is Stefy Line JB Series. I like unique brands. I wonder what country it is made in. Could you plz tell us what the label says?

This review is too late! I already got a Reunion Blues Continental over the summer. But I’m glad you actually got your case and didn’t get scammed. I really like the Continental but it is actually heavier and bulkier than my hard shell. I was thinking of testing it out by putting my old Yamaha in the case and throwing it down some concrete steps lol.

One more suggestion about the gig bag. Instead get a good hard, durable case, even suitable for travel or shipping. Then buy a case cover with a big outside pocket for your "folding guitar support". If one is not available, design it yourself and have it made. The cover can also be insulated/padded for extra protection when you travel or ship. I have one that I had made many years ago and it still works for storage of all kinds of gear outside the case.

There's an elderly female student in my class who's always criticizing my hardcase.
But that hag's gig bag's a big gag, a bad bag that sags. It's sad the hag's bad gig bag sags. No wonder she nags. The bad hag that nags has a bad bag that sags. But if a hag snags bad gig bags that sag, is it bad to gag at the hag's bad gig bags that sag?
Did I mention her bag was big and the class is for learning how to play the jig? That hag's big jig gig bag's a big gag, a big bad jig gig bag that sags. It's sad the hag's big bad jig gig bag sags. No wonder she nags. The bad hag that nags has a big bad jig gig bag that sags. But if a hag snags big bad jig gig bags that sag, is it bad to gag at the hag's big bad jig gig bags that sag?
Did I mention she plays in DADGAD and comes to class in a jag?
alright, alright... I'll stop.
