Just got my new Fransico Navarro Reyes Special Grand Concert Flamenco Negra. German spruce top. Cocobolo back and sides. Ordered from Ron Hudson or Memorial Music. Why did but this guitar? I saw Blackshear's review on this forum!
LOUD! Projects sound very well. Deep, darker sound. The bass! Did I say the bass! Boomy bass. Clear, sweet trebles. No dead spot on the ebony neck. French polish. Did I say the bass? Cocobolo is outstanding! The cocobolo has some purple, some red, some brown hues (sp?) in it. The grains are long and defined. The German spruce top is beautiful and resonates. When I talk around Santa Miguel (yes I have name him), the top resonates and resonates loudly. Very excited about this lovely instrument.
I am giddy like a little school boy!
I will post pics once I am done drooling over this guitar in the next few days.
Big thanks to Ron Hudson on helping me through this process.

5) Strings are starting to dull out. The basses are starting to get a woodsy sound. The trebles are somewhat dull.
.. and what strings may those be?
I had a Navarro (student model) and was very pleased with its clear and dry sound. On Tom's advice (of LaFalseta, who sold me the fine instrument) and of Ricardo, also a member here, I used Luthier Popular Supreme.
For an even clearer treble, the suggested blend was to mix "LaBella black trebles" (and they were indeed crystal clear, but to me not as lyrical as the Luthier’s plain nylon).
Above all, congratulations on the lovely guitar -and whatever you may end up doing with it, may I also suggest that you do keep the spouse
