RE: Favorite Nuevo or Modern Flamenc... (in reply to Guest)
That's actually a tough question. i guess it depends with the mood. Sometimes, Sanlucar, Nino Miguel, even Pepe Habichuela, oh and Moraito. DAMN, must i choose!? they are all great!!!!
But i'm inclined to Gerardo and Vicente's music a lot right now.

there's only one, Orate which came out recently...but he's better known for his work as an accompanist, there are plenty of videos of him on youtube! i love Chicuelo's way of accompaniment too, but i'm not too fond of his solo stuff...

Question...what is Chicuelo's best solo album in your opinion?
for me his best are Complices and Live in Cirque d'Hiver Paris I also enjoy his work with Ginesa Ortega. with all respect to others I really like chicuelo's style and compisitions .. I think that he's so creative and some of his compositions are my fav of all time.

Question...what is Diego del Morao's best solo album or is there only one?
I think orate is his only one. I also have an album called " CONCIERTO INEDITO DE LUIS EL ZAMBO Y DIEGO DEL MORAO EN LA PEÑA DE TIO JOSE DE PAULA DE JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA " I think it's not an official album but he has a touch over there .. I found it over the internet but I can't remember where

i have been listening to alot of Pedro Sierra lately, i go through stages where i rediscover guitarists...,,,but not his solo albums, for some reason i didnt get as much into them, i liked it enough just didn't play it that much...i prefer him in ritmo flamenco...he plays the same familiar falsetas but i guess i prefer hearing it with everything around it...dance, singing...i guess its more useful to me...or it could also be the production...in ritmo flamenco its minimal production...i dont need bells and ensembles..or over compressed or over reverberated guitars, or sound where the eq has been mixed so much that all the base notes lose their natural tones and sound almost like metal wires... just realistic nice clear sounding guitar with minimal tweaks

Diapason album by Chicuelo. His compositions are just way out there and sounds really funky, but groovy in a delightful way. "A Tres" is one dark solo bulerias on that album.
I haven't heard much of the others, but I can always find something magnificent in today's modern day players...
