Notwithstanding all the imbecility and stuffiness on Delcamp, let's be reasonable. For any guitarist who is interested in classical guitar, whether or not he is also a flamenco guitarist, Delcamp is the best classical guitar forum, and really is to classical guitar what ForoFlamenco is to flamenco guitar. It is a great resource for information on classical guitar music, performers, technique, and on instruments, head and shoulders above several other classical guitar forums. You just have to use it to your own advantage, and ignore the haughty moderators. Just yesterday, someone asked for a recommendation on a good classical guitar for under $2500, so I recommended the Jose Ramirez 125 Anos, which is a great classical guitar, and I included several links to reviews, all of which were highly favorable. They deleted my post because some of the links showed ads. So yes, they can be a pain in the ass, but you just have to take the best of it, and scrap the rest of it.

I guess it is old men that are just over serious I'll say it again – they are a pain in the ass, but – this business about them being a "bunch of old men" is silly. They have over three thousand members, and judging from the photos, profiles, and occupations, etc., it seems a fairly representative mix of ages that you would find on most forums, including this one. And it is, and has been, my experience that far more young people are taking up classical guitar than flamenco. So it doesn't strike me that the general membership is a bunch of old men. However, it's probably the case that the moderators do fit that description. On another note – they actually have not deleted my post touting ForoFlamenco, and even stated to someone who expressed surprise at that (I suspect a member of the Foro) that there was no reason for them to delete it. Score one for the Foro.

Haha, I know I've been a member on Delcamp for quite awhile actually, I've just never posted. Anyways I saw your post, it's funny how they responded. Well I think what it is, is that we feel like the Moderators are old men, because they're strict, like you said. And yes Score one for the foro, I find it absolutely hilarious that they didn't delete it. I also find it amusing that they let some guys fight for 3 pages straight about how Classical guitarists shouldn't do this, which turned into an "I'm better than you" contest, instead of bloody deleting posts that concern copyright. Something's wrong there.
