Just wanted to let everyone know I've published the flamenco metronome I had been working on. I wound up teaming up with Kai Narezo, who graciously lent his compás loops for me to work with.
The app in only available for iPhone, iPad and M1 Macs, but it is free of charge.
The design is minimalist and very easy to use. I hope it will prove useful to some of you.
Just poked around it a little, I had only yesterday added a new metronome app but one that had the vibrating function found I real liked the flashing light.
For me it is just handy to have a few options based on who is around while I’m practicing. M
Just wondering how hard it would be to make one the does the vibrate for tempo and then a way to remove or rather select the beats we want fir each palo?
I’ll be using your app for sure, give me a week to play with it and I’ll get some feedback up.

I prefer my flamenco guitar spicy, doesn't have to be fast, should have some meat on the bones, can be raw or well done, as long as it doesn't sound like it's turning green on an elevator floor.

An earlier version of the app had an optional stress on the 6th beat of 12 beat palos. Adding and removing beats is easy, but making the resulting patterns sound good is a lot harder.
This is great. I really like the simplicity and ease of use. Are you planning to add more palos?
Thanks! That's what everyone has really liked about it so far. I had to really rein myself in from adding too many features that would have taken away from that.
We're not planning on adding any new palos at the moment. The palos are taken from Kai's loops, which are to some extent non specific, at least in the case of the 12 and 4 beat patterns, so the names are, to some extent arbitrary. For example, I choose the slowest 12 beat pattern for soleá, one of the fastest 12 beat patterns for bulerías etc. So if you want to use the metronome to practice a palo not listed, like guajiras, you could just choose a 12 beat palo that has similar speed.
