Here is another French version of "Douze Chansons pour 2 Guitares" It has a gatefold cover with part of a Picasso painting on the front (Nature morte a la guitara). Inside the gatefold is a blurb on the works of Lorca and de Falla. The disc and cover are undated but it must have been produced after 1975 because of the copyright date of the Picasso image.

On Page 10 of this thread I stumbled across an weird Sevillanas EP by "Los de Doñana" that was mentioned in an essay. After some more research I have made another significant new find.

Paco recorded a total of 3 Eps with Los de Doñana. Here are the other 2 covers. All 3 EPs were recorded in 1970 together with Isidro Sanlucar (both father and son) playing the guitar parts with Paco. This brings us to a total of 12 tracks with Paco on these 3 EPs.

On the back of the EPs there is publicity leading us to another album (that I havent tracked down yet) This LP contains all 12 tracks appearing in the 3 Paco EPs put together. I am pretty amazed to be finding unlisted tracks at this stage of the research but to find a whole album of undiscovered Paco tracks that no-one has listed or re-released anywhere is quite an exciting find and I think quite an important new addition.

Here are my remaining additions. This next LP is the Hungarian Version of Almoraima. Its been renamed (imaginatively) Flamenco and released on the Hungarian Gong label under Philips. Tracks are the same as Almoraima. Paco is the Zeneszerző and Ramon is the közreműködik

. The disc is manufactured in Hungary and has a brick red label.

Next up is the Japanese version of El duende Flamenco with a bright yellow cover. Track lists are the same. This disc has a rare white Philips label.

My best find in the last couple of weeks was a copy of the Niña Brenes EP from 1964. Ricardo mentioned one of these tracks very early in the thread and it has taken me over a year to track down a copy of the EP. I could not even find a photo of the cover. Finally here is the source of the 4 ultra rare tracks. This cover has not been listed anywhere else in relation to Pacos discography.

This next compilation is from Universal. Its a 3 CD set of Flamenco with a glossy colour book in both English and Spanish. CD1 is called Pure classics and contains 20 tracks by artists such as La Perla de Cadiz, Manolo Caracol, Fosforito, Antonio Mairena etc. CD2 Is called Evolution and contains more modern tracks by Ketama, Duquende, Pata Negra, Camaron, Raimundo Amador etc. CD3 is called Guitars with tracks by Sabicas, Manolo Sanlucar, Tomatito, Niño Miguel and of course Paco de Lucia.
In total Paco appears on at least 6 tracks in this set. Apart from being a nice addition to the Paco discography I would recommend this compilation to anyone who doesnt know much about flamenco and would like to learn or maybe as a gift. It really contains a lot of classic tracks in a very well presented set.

This last double LP is also from Japan. Paco de Lucia- Flamenco Guitar has a gatefold cover and 24 tracks featuring paco and Ramon. Most of these tracks come from Dos Guitarras Flamencas en America Latina and En Hispanoamérica but there are 2 rare additions. The first is the track Kojo no Tsuki which comes from the United Nations EP that was listed earlier. However there is another new track that I havent come across before. Track 4 is called "Pearl Fishers" and it is another Japanese track that I have no idea where it comes from. I have enlarged the sleeve notes for this track. If anyone can translate the Japanese and post it, it would be very useful.

Having come to the end of this research now, it seems entirely fitting to have found in the final post, one more unlisted track!!

So guys....that really is it for a while now. Im moving house soon and I cant put any more time or effort into this research. Its pretty extensive and complete now. I may update this thread in the new year if I come across any really new material but for time being this concludes Foroflamencos definitive discography of the recordings of Paco de Lucia.

We’ve just had a Japanese friend to dinner, so I took the opportunity of asking her to help out.

“4. Pearl Tango

Ramzis recent post reminded me that it will be 2 years since Pacos death on the 25th of this month.
I have found a few more Editions and additions over the winter. This really has exhausted most avenues of
research now so I will be pleased to post the last remaining items in the next few days and have this discography complete.
....although there were still a few surprise finds out there since October last year

I checked both tracks and you are correct Paul. "Pearl tango" is exactly the same track as "Los Pescadores de Perlas" from
12 Hits Para 2 Guitarras Flamencas y Orquesta de Cuerda. Its not even a different version so no new track here

First up are a couple more compilation LPs that I found in a box on a sunday market.

Cante por Alegrias contains the track "A Cadiz novia del Sur" by Fosforito and PDL.

Asi es el cante de... contains "De Jaen a Sierra Morena" by Lolita Valderrama from one of the early EPs.
Paco is not even credited on this recording.

This next LP is a rare Venezuelan compilation of solos and duets with Ramon from around 1969-1976
The disc is undated but the latest track on the compilation is Rio Ancho from 1976 so I am guessing this was
released around 1977.

The only notable thing about this record is the cute mistake in re-naming "Percusion Flamenca"....."Persecucion Flamenca".
This mistake appears on both the sleeve and the disc.
The editor must have been paranoid

Here is another unlisted track. I would be surprised if anyone here has heard this before.
Its comes from the CD "Las Pequenas Cosas" by Josemi Carmona. Its more Jazz than flamenco
to my ears but still Pacos distinctive playing comes through on the solos.

This is another unlisted compilation double CD of various guitar tracks. Paco de Lucia is credited
on the tracks "Por lo Mudable" and "De Puerta a Puerta".

I have trouble referencing them. "Por lo mudable" is the Sevillana that comes from the rare Niña Brenes 1964 EP.
I cant find a reference for "De Puerta a Puerta". Does anyone know where this track comes from?

Thanks Ricardo. Where does track come from though? I have been trying to find an EP
with Rafael Ortega and had no luck in two years. I know you have it on a compilation somewhere. (just seen you posted a photo)

Here is another in the Belter Antologia del Cante series.
Fandangos is Volume 12 of this series and contains another track by Fosforito and PDL - Virgen de Lucena.

I have noticed that the earlier volumes of this series are quite easy to find and the later ones are progressively
more difficult to track down. I am pretty sure that the last few (Serranas, Milonga and Zambra) will be near impossible to find.

Another compilation CD which is actually a pretty good compilation album. Its a double CD
with 30 tracks from Niña Pastori, Vicente Amigo, El Cigala, Remedies Amaya, Vicente Amigo,
Enrique Morente, Jose Merce etc. It also contains the PDL track "Solo quiero Caminar"

Here is another lucky find. This is another rare EP by Manolo de Vega with Paco de Lucia
and Remolio hijo on Guitar. This is the second EP that I have found now and is
4 more unlisted tracks to add to the already huge volume of material. Its also nice to find another
new photo of Paco on the sleeve.

We already listed the compilation LP "Acoustic colours". I finally found a copy of the recording.
It contains the tracks "Rio Ancho" by PDL and also "Guardian Angel" by the guitar trio.
I have been able to update this listing with the recording index as well.

Here is another version of the album Flamenco-Jazz by Pedro Iturralde and Paco de Lucia.
Its a gatefold cover with a single disc and is a 1974 re-issue of the original recording. This
edition was produced in Spain and all the track info is in Spanish. It has a photo of a very young Paco inside
the gatefold.

Here is another great find and an important addition. Its been one thing to find a stray track here
and there but here is a whole new Album of 12 tracks that have not yet been listed.
Its an album called "Seville en Fiestas" and not surprisingly it contains 8 tracks of Sevillanas and 4 Rumbas.
The group are "Los de Andalucia" with the special collaboration of Paco de Lucia.
It was produced in 1970 on the TIP label. I am delighted to have found this very rare recording.

I found this CD in a second hand shop. This is a 16 track compilation of cante by Fosforito
and Paco. It comes from the series "Seleccion Antologia del Cante Flamenco" and there are 3 volumes.
This is volume 2 but the track lists for all 3 CDs are inside the cover.
From this we can add all 3 volumes to our discography.

Here is another unlisted Japanese edition. A fairly unremarkable compilation of 12 tracks from the 70s.
I have absolutely no explanation for the cover photo which looks like a scene from Close encounters.
