RE: Very rare videos of the maestro Paco (in reply to Guest)

I keep hearing this "figure" of 200 years. Everyone does realize that Paco grew up as a child playing 12 hours a day and completely immersed in the flamenco culture, right? Before he even picked up a guitar he had already the heart-compas-beat engrained in his head. Add that fact to a slaving child that wants to please his dad and that practices all day, that performs from a very young age, and that has a unique special talent both musically and technically, and you might get a chance at someone like Paco. But chances are... this type of environment won't ever be reproduced again.
Technology does provide a unique advantage, but it also provides extreme distraction.
Totally disagree... You have tons of really young guitarrists in Spain growing up in that type of environment and I haven't seen anyone remotely close to a young Paco. Javier Conde is probably the closest I've seen technically but is missing everything else that Paco possessed.

I hope I'm wrong.
I don't think you are wrong. Has there been another Mozart? There were a lot of parents who were knowledgeable and gifted musically who tried to raise their children to achieve the same thing and failed. I can't imagine anyone matching Paco for his combination of flawless technique, musical sensitivity and compositional excellence.

there was bach before mozart (bach died 6 yrs before mozart was born) and beethoven after/during mozart too and tons of amazing composers in between too.
i mean i feel like antonio rey completes all the requirements for guitar superstar but thats just imo i guess.

Yes Paco is a rare genious like mozart, bach, miles, django .
In the first video the guy say :
" When Paco had 9 years old,his father tell to, Ramon now you must to learn the guitar seriously at your brother , and Ramon tell to me yesterday,In 8 days Paco played better than me with my 11 years of toque."
I dont think it's possible, but that illustrated the genius of Paco.
There no only the hours of the years playing ,the talent or the don ,is here.
For example my maestro manuel parrilla, start at 9 years old ,at 12 years old he had to be able to play pieces of his uncle,(there 2 video on youtube),with perfect tempo, compas, technique. In 3 years of normal life child (school,games...)
It's the don. His first disc solo come this srping,he played to me 4,5 temas,it's totally kikass.

Yes, thank you! Everyone of these is excellent. As Aretium noted, the acoustics are great. It's almost liked they miked the stage -- you can hear every foot tap of the compas. Thanks for posting these.
