I agree. Maybe I would even do a bit of palmas below the table and a little óle...

Instead of all this hand-wringing, why not donate $10 or more to a local charity in his remembrance??

It'll do far more good (and gain you some good karma) than a youtube vid or playing his CD's in endless loops.

The idea of having a a Paco section on the foro is ludicrous, its already choppy enough. If you must create a Paco thread in the audio/video section.

was just reading ,, and a lot of the famous players turned up in Madrid for Paco ..

Also you may be interested , sorry if you already saw it ..
Comments from the top people in music .. like John McLaughlin , Chick corea , Al DiMeola . Santana etc.......
The whole world of music ,,,,not just flamenco but everyone who can actually play well...is turned upsidedown .....now he is an undying legend and level of flamenco that is unobtainable ....
Difficult act to follow for everyone..
So pleased , in a way , that I got to see him in a small roman ampitheater in Cordoba a long time ago ..
Anyway here......

De Lucia left behind a finished, yet unreleased album. His 30th production is titled "Canciones Andaluzas" (Andalusian Songs). According to El Pais, it was scheduled to come out in Spain in April.

I apologize for getting a bit "unlike" me. It was a tough month of February here for me in general on top of the big news.

Glad you liked it Gerundino. I just wished that I was playing on a much better instrument.

There is such a symbolic value to these photographs of Vicente Amigo carrying the remains of Paco De Lucia. I suppose that is how we can honor anyone's death, by carrying forward the values and inspiration they bequeath.

As Mark74 wrote earlier in this thread Grisha's entire career "honored" Paco de Lucia, and I am certain he, along with many of his 'disciples', will continue to carry forward PDF's values and inspiration, Paco De Lucia's music.

Thanks kudo.. I know what you mean.. I gathered some old and fairly recent videos and decided to pay a small homage to the Maestro. The second video is a falseta by his brother. Cannot leave him out. I hope you enjoy it.
