I decided to share my performance in Belgrade from 2 weeks ago. It is not perfect, but after 4 hours of sleep and no food for the whole day, by 10 pm. my energy was high. It is more raw than my Russian videos. There are some things that I like about it, and then there is that rhythm problem in La Plazuela where I skip 6 beats due to disorientation and the forgotten scale in Guajira... But it is what it is. By the way, my guitar was not amplified.

RE: My concert in Belgrade, March 15... (in reply to Grisha)
Just finished watching the whole thing, simply amazing... I repeat what I said in the other topic... you are the man Grisha!!! I rarely go to a concert, but I will go to one of yours as soon as I have the chance. If the concert sells out, I will hang on the ceiling like Spiderman.
And of course the video should be public! Most people won't notice you forgot the scale in the Guajiras and the last Bulerías was an extra to the audience so the mistake doesn't count.

I like that you're doing the foot tap thing nowadays as if it were percussion. Jeronimo uses that effectively. I don't think you used to tap in the past during performances, or did you?

You know, after meeting and hearing Jason and Adam (and of course, Ricardo) in person I realized that I need to study and study and study some more. Truly inspirational people, and also locals, which is a big plus.
I also remember meeting your twin brother in Frankfurt airport once, did he ever mentioned anything about it to you, Ramzi?

thanks for posting, it's always a pleasure to watch/hear musicians of your caliber (i actually preferred your performance of Vicente's mineras over Vicente's life performance that i found on youtube :-).

Thanks Erik! I don't think it's possible to play it better than Vicente. He is one with his music, much more than most performers/composers.
You know, I actually enjoy this performance. I usually hate my playing. But here there is something present... something else. Something I hear in Almoraima. Some youthful energy, maybe. Some real drama, also. Not in all of it, but parts.
If only I can stop getting disorientated on stage. And conquer that rushing... even though I am Russian!

Aside from being teached by our fathers that's something else we have in common:-)
Obviously absolute control and perfection is what we strive for, but as long as you tell a good story an occasional mistake doesn't mind. On top you are in good company. For years Paco de Lucia used to start his dutch concerts with his siroco mineras (which i.m.o. has one of the most beautiful endings ever) and every single time he made exactly the same positional mistake at exactly the same place, year after year. As a matter of fact, i noticed you didn't copy one of his other regular mistakes in above performance and in a strange way i even nostalgically missed it :-).

I would love to watch it. As it is not long before "elections" ( of pre sorted candidates ), however, all ports for VPN have been blocked here, preventing VPNs. -
Grisha,
Ever heard of the bard Vladimir Vissotsky? He was best friend with my brother and insisted on the one most crappy guitar, guarding it like a treasure ( disliking when I would touch it), eventhough he could had chosen of any of the finest out there.
Russian folks loved him. His burrial became the largest people gathering after the revolution. - My brother and he are now lying on the same cemetery in Moscow. ( They had actually appointed to be burried side by side when time come, but it wasn´t possible in that packed historical place.)
Suppose you won´t be listening to thelike chanson anyway, but if, I would be interested to hear how you value his lyrics and his playing.
