Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I´m very content with the fiddle and also with my playing. The fiddle sounds really good, I think. Its only 3 weeks old and still has a strong smell of varnish. Normally they dont string them up this early, but I thought that it could as well dry, while I was playing it. I´ve played a little less than 1 year now. Its a long time ago since I recorded myself, which is a fault. I can hear that I play a lot better now, but I can also hear that there are some things I have to work on. Its to monotonous and lacks some space. Two much pressure on the bow, not enough lilt. To stressy.. Peter, I knew you would comment on the painting. I really like that painting (which is by a friend of mine) Yes, maybe I should go and live near Galway. Good idea, or maybe I should just go there once again to have a look and a listen. I was there in summer 1981, 19 years old, playing the guitar and singing in pubs for free drinks and hitchiking aroud. But Ireland has changed enourmously in these 30 years. It was poor, but its also the friendliest place I´ve ever been. Really layed back.
