Rombsix unboxing Hermanos Sanchis Lo...

First impression: Very happy with the instrument. I finally have a REAL flamenco guitar (no offense to all the other guitars I've had). The 660mm scale length does NOT seem to be an issue in terms of the size of my hands at all, probably because the guitar is so much easier to play that any extra millimeters in length are offset by the playability of the instrument. I will have more to say about this though once I've gotten familiarized more with the guitar.

Comments? Thoughts?

PS: Be patient - the video is long. Please watch it in 720p HD for full effect.

PPS: Volume might be too soft in the video (when I'm talking), so you might want to turn up your speakers. Be careful when I start playing close to the microphone though...

Ole Ramzi!

I can't believe you actually did it. I thought you would play a yamaha for ever.

Your playing sounds ten times as powerful. You will finally have a new understanding of pulsation with this guitar.

I enjoyed the tuning joke and the mario maya impression. Your rumba even sounds better on this guitar. It must be the double rumbero combo

Regarding the tuning. I had to have some alterations made to my father f1 lopez. The frets were so high that when capoed it was pulling out of tune. I don't think they come out of the factory set up to their potential. I had the frets dressed and some of the height removed. It fixed the tuning issue and also gave a lower better action and easier playing.

I think it will have to become a tradition that whoever owns this guitar will have to make an unboxing video.

Congratulations el rumbero!

At last Ramzi....

Well done....

Where did you buy the guitar and what strings the guitar had on it?

Congratulations Ramzi, I'm glad that Scott's guitar landed in well deserved hands. You won't stop loving this guitar. I have been playing mine for over three years now but it gives me a very nice feeling every time I hold it. Just wait till you have bonded with it.

Congratulations Ramzi!!

What a beauty isn´t she? Sounds amazing, The imitation of Emilio Maya with the Anders guitar was very funny. The good thing about starting with a cheap guitar is
that when getting a proper guitar you´will apreciate it a lot more. And you really deserved a nice guitar!!
I think you¨ll spend quite a few hours with your new girlfriend
Your playing sounds a lot better allready, Ole !

Have fun

It sounds like it's alive! What a voice it has. Good stuff

Also, thanks for the views of the packaging, I've just sold a banjo on Ebay and now I know how to pack it, Cheers!

If I hadn't caught your comment about just coming home from work, I would have assumed you'd dressed-up for this event. Unboxing a good guitar is a sacred moment.

Enjoy!

Congrats Ramzi,
Sounds really great. You deserve a nice guitar like that for all your hard work in your practice and generosity in sharing with others.
Olé!

That guitar sounds really great! It was cool seeing how the robot part of you could not remain in control as you played it : ) It was being melted by the sound and the joy you felt. I really like the falsettas you chose to play. The vid is so clear. I will record it and use it as a list of falsettas I'd like to work on.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

You sound great man, all those years of training on crappy guitars and now you will be unstoppable on that thing.
Hopefully some day you will be unboxing a new Culpepper
