now you got the guitar , and it is really nice , really ... you gotta play it .... and I dont mean "home on the range " Like in Spain sometimes people ask a new guitarrist or someone .. Tocar un poquito por Bulerias ..." its kind of a test but not a bad one .....

Quilted Maple is from Big leaf Maple which is the lightest softest used in guitars. Walnut is in the same weight range and leans towards a Blanca sound also. She is a beauty

I thought it was just from any Maple that happened to grow with that pattern in part of it , and depending on how it is cut you can see the quilted pattern , like water ripples /// You learn something all the time ....

Congratulations Scott. The rosette really matched the maple nicely. I am sure by now you have overcome the shock of seeing and holding a fine truly handmade guitar and the next shock was the response and tone well balanced over the entire range that is known as the Tsiorba sound. In about a year you will be amazed how this guitar will sound.
