Hello Friends, I was wondering if there are any special recommendations for Golpeadors ? or are they all the same ? shall I avoid some and go for the other ? or it doesn't matter ? high or bad quality I'm using a transparent Golpeador on my current guitar now and i think it is from alhambra as far as I remember but golpeadors are all out of stock now where I live and not going to be available any soon I guess so I'm gonna get one from abroad. p.s @Ramzi : is it easy to get a good Golpeador in Lebanon ? if so I'll pm you mine was in a rectangular shape so I had to cut it .. but I came across many ready cut ones are they any good ? did anyone tried this brand Aria ? shall I go for it ?

Hi Elie, There is someone on Ebay.co.uk selling Jim Dunlop Pre cut clear Golpeadors. A few months ago I bought a pair for my cheap perez guitar and they work fine. The look ths same on the guitar as the ones that came fitted to my Prudencio Saez 22.
p.s @Ramzi : is it easy to get a good Golpeador in Lebanon ? if so I'll pm you
I've never tried ordering anything of the sort here Elie. I would like to order you one, and perhaps send it to you by mail (I don't know if that helps). However, I am going to be traveling to the USA for about 3 months by the end of this month. I am afraid that by the time it arrives, I would have traveled, and therefore you will get stuck waiting until I return from the USA.
Ramzi my man thank you so much for the offer but what I wanted to say by my question is : if it is possible to buy a golpeador from a Lebanese music shop I would go there and get it using your directions (shop name, area etc .. ). but reading your response I feel it is not available and you're gonna order from outside Lebanon which I can do from here without causing you any problems as for your travel to USA I wish you all the best brother .. you will do great there because you're a great person best wishes and Ramzi same offer from my side .. whatever you need from here please just tell me and I'll do my best to accomplish the mission
now back to the topic can anyone answer my two questions : 1.is this Aria Golpeador good ? if not can you recommend good ones (thank you Derek for your suggestion) 2.shall I get a pre cut golpeador like the one in the above pic or a complete one ?

Oh, I guess I misunderstood your question. But yes, surely you are right. We do NOT have any golpeadores in Lebanon. My ex-teacher got some from Spain about 8 years ago, and that was the last we got. Now, I tell my students to follow the advice in this video as a substitute for a "real golpeador." I never thought about ordering from abroad.
hey Ramzi , thank you so much .. that video is both good and funny somehow I might follow what he did with some of my guitars but do you think that the "book covering" thing "Tajleed" will protect the guitar from sharp nails golpes ?
I am at the university now working on my thesis in the library. When I read this, I burst out laughing and everyone was looking at me thinking, "What's up with this crazy guy?" I wanted to just say that you should use "tajleed" but I thought you might not know what "tajleed" is, and that is why I linked to the video. However, I forgot that you are KBEEEEEEEEER and that of course you will know what "tajleed" is.
Frankly, my Hohner HC-06 guitar has "tajleed" golpeadors on it, and it seems to be well protected so far. I've been doing golpes on it for the past 10 years, and it is still in one piece. However, I used the transparent "tajleed" unlike Franky who used the black one. So, if the situation becomes dire, and you can't get a golpeador from abroad, then go for some good old "tajleed." 3ala mas2ooliyytak though.
Cheers!

hehe it was a funny experiment actually, although I didn't do it perfectly the "tajleed" golpeador was not well cut etcc .. but romb I don't think it will last for long , I did some golpes and they made a mark .. maybe if I do more I will tear it ... maybe I have aggressive golpes or maybe you have a very nice ones or maybe your tajleed is much more better than mine
