RE: Flamenco plugins for Logic & Gar... (in reply to Guest)
Yesterday I bought the Flamenco Percusión package. After paying via PayPal once you get the link to the download page. After mounting the 3 DMGs and 2 mouse clicks all the files are installed. You have to do nothing, all is automated. In my ~/music folder now the templates are found. On double click the template opens in Logic. It can be started immediately to work. The instruments can be easily selected and assigned. Everything is easy, even for the layman.
The cajon sounds very good, very real. It is not only used one simple sample. For the beats 18 different samples are used as played by a cajonista over the soundboard of the cajón. For palmas we have 3 instruments: Sordas, Fuertes. The Fuertes Wide are wider in the stereo field and sound deceptively real. At first I thought, what a nonsense, 22 stereo samples for palmas. When you hear these palmas it's clear that they can not only consist of one or two samples. These so-called loops are, unfortunately, heard in many recordings. There is even a tacon (heel) as a bonus, is not mentioned in the description.
The projects are very well done, you realize that the creator has dealt with flamenco percussion. Anyone who has ever created percussion or drum patterns know how long it takes and 14 eur is not too expensive. If you look closely at the patterns, you can learn very much that it is not just quantized exactly on the beat. The palmas too are not set to the point, and thus sounds quite human, and not like played by a sequencer.
Graf-Martinez has done a good job here. As the whole thing sounds in Garageband I do not know. But Flamenco Percusión for Logic is absolutely for hi-end users in the professional field. I think that this package will be purchased by many studios if it is really popular in this market.
To criticize is that missing a few styles. The Win version will be released next month.
By the way: I use the metronome of GGM for years on all my Macs. It runs anywhere, anytime.

I downloaded these and I'm evaluating them now. So far so good. I did have a few issue's and Gerhard was quick to respond and helpful.
To be honest, I'd have no idea how to program an authentic Cajon or Palmas so being able to buy the project files is great as I can open them up and study them in Piano roll edit view. Really useful.

I bought the packs a while ago Had a quick look at them but have done little with them Thanks for the reminder will re investigate them.. Been spending more time splicing loops from ritmo flamenco and solo compas and various other audio recordings If I remember there was a digital reverb sound on the files that became too pronounced when slowed down which annoyed me but will check the settings within garage band Will open them up and re investigate

Hi everyone,
I am reviving this is old thread. I was considering buying the flamenco LogicX percussion package from Graf Martinez. Since technology has improved dramatically in the last 10 years, I was wondering if the package is obsolete by now? Has it been updated? Is there anything better out there?
