I didn't mean to offend anyone. But I need to clarify one thing for michelob. Iam no beginner, in fact Iam quite accomplished as a player. That doesn't matter. I wouldn't even think of posting because people are already biased by my post and would serve no purpose. You spoke your mind, I respect that.
Apology accepted, but you really should participate in my cante accompaniment challenge. People who ARE interested could learn a lot from an accomplished player such as yourself and I could get some valuable tips on flamenco tone production.
I too accept your apology, along with my ignorance of Flamenco and character flaws you chose to highlight. However, particularly heinous was your reply to Ailsa for which I recommend you apologize, to her. You must have been blinded by anger to insult such lovely person.
Anyway, however fluctuating the gravity of the subjects on this forum, it is a rather utile tool and convivial place. You are absolutely mistaken about the members’ prejudice you assume. A sincere apology followed by your participation in the Cante challenge, or pointing us to some of your videos or audio would relieve any hostility, it always did. You seem to know the constituency here very well; haven’t you seen how “cool” everyone is?

I don't care if he is a good player, why wouldn't I just listen to Paco or one of the hundreds of other players who actually have a unique voice in flamenco?
To have relationships with other human beings it doesn't matter one bit if you are a good artist, only if you are a good person.

gj thanks for your support. In truth I was a bit upset because I have no illusions about my playing. I upload some things to learn and to make it "safe" for other new players who might want to share. Learning flamenco guitar has changed my life - for the better - so even if I never improve it will still have been worth it.

Whatever that person said, don't let it deter you from uploading stuff in the future. There are lots of beginners I am sure that lurk on the forum or never upload, yet get motivated with your uploads and try to improve. Everyone started as a beginner.
In fact, you have inspired me and I think there is a Guajiras lurking inside of me waiting to come out soon. Another beginner to be sacrificed on the altar of the Flamenco snobs.

Ailsa, your progress is very inspiring. Do not let anyone suggest otherwise. Of all videos on this forum, when I see yours I feel the need to devote some proper discipline and perhaps engage a teacher to improve my own playing.
