Stu, there are some good tabs for this great record: The granaina "La cartuja" (which I proudly presented in the audio uploads section a month ago!)and the tanguillo "Puente de los alunados" in the book "El arte de gerardo nunez" which I 'll mail you in pdf. Also, in the book "La tecnica al Servicio del Arte" you can find "Canaveral", "El gallo azul" and "Calima"(I'm currently trying to download this book, I'll let you know when I'll have it). There are some falsettas from "solea-un son eterno" in the Claude Worms series and of course plenty of falsettas in Nunez' Encuentro Edition.

There are two books, one by Faucher that has the Granainas and Tanguillo, and the arte book "vol ii" that has Gallo Azul, Canaveral, and Calima which is the same as the last bulerias on Gallo Azul.

So the missing pieces are the Rondena, Solea (Worms has it though) and second Bulerias Amor de Dios, and Tangos in D# "mi patio". Check out Encuentro vid for bits and pieces though. And I am sure Faucher has some if not all of those as well. Watch out for mistakes by Faucher (deliberate IMO). I caught both Encuentro and the Art book ii "Cheating" off of Faucher's transcription. Exact Same silly mistakes.

You are right, I just recently searched the book ''La técnica al servicio del arte vol. II'' on the internet and it even said it was 'out of print' (only this volume).

I have never seen nor heard of a transcription of the rondeña. I would like to learn some things from it if anyone has one.

Does anyone have one?

I have the other books and have learned some cool stuff from them, both Tecnica al servico del arte and the Faucher one, as well as the Encuentro - I recommend people buy them all.

Oops. I forgot I posted this thread. forgot to check up on it.
Thanks for the tips/links etc.
Its typical that the piece I really want is the rondena and It doesnt look to be anywhere.

So Ricardo, do you think it will be worth contacting faucher to see if he has that piece?? Its not on his lists, but perhaps he's got a secret stash he keeps for himself.
Think I will anyway..

Check with him, Faucher might have it.

If he doesn't you can always ask Conrad and Ben Barile, who would probably do it.

If you'll request it and they'll do it, I will pay half of it with you.

I have paid them for 3 so far, I will not go back on my word here, I will pay half, no problem.

Claude Worms did an excellent transcription of the opening buleria from this album on one of his duende (don't have the book to hand right now )buleria anthologies, it also has great stuff from Vicente and Paco as well as a stack of compas at the start.

Also there is a transcription of Canavarel on the Hererro/Worms book on Fandango in the Verdiales section.

I think I paid $60 each for 3 transcriptions.

I am not sure what they would charge for this rondeña, although I imagine they would be interested. I think it falls into the category of interest. There are probably quite a few guitarists who would want it, so that also makes it more appealing for them to do it.

Stu, confirm for us if you are going to write to Conrad about this, I am definitely in.

Hi, Anthony,

I just noticed this thread and then checked the old email... Well, I don't transcribe any more, but Ben should be willing to do it if he's not super busy as usual. He reads and responds to that address now, and I will tell him to check it. That is if you don't find an existing transcription of the piece.

regards,

Con

It means $100 total, so we divide by however many people sign up to share that price.

There is a significant bit of the Rondeña in Encuentro. In the Tremolo section. Earlier there was some Rondeña buleria, mix from two different albums, in the pulgar section. Remember it is not about a FULL transcription, but the falsetas. Pick up some pieces and along the way you might find others, or have enough info to figure it out from the recording. I mean if you can play any of the buleria or Farruca from Encuentro, then you should be able to figure out the Rondeña on Gallo by ear.

PayPal was the easiest payment method for me, which is how I paid it last time.

Just create an account with PayPal and you'll see how to set it up.

When Ben is done, he will let us know and each of us can pay his part.

Ricardo is right, there are about 3 and a half pages in the Encuentro book - pgs 37 - 40.

RE: El Gallo Azul by Gerardo Nunez (in reply to Stu

Hi, I just joined today, and reading old posts etc., so if anyone reading this, Faucher lists the Solea from El Gallo Azul on his website/catalogue, and there's a transcription of the Tangos in D# Mi Patio in Worms Duende Flamenco 4C Tangos, Tientos, Farruca

Can anyone tell me what else is on the Encuentro DVD as it seems impossible to find a contents/track listing anywhere?

thanks
