Rasqueado

I've just been into a site that shows diagrams of rasqueado and they advise that you instead of eami you should use ieam for a powerful rasqueado.
He reckons when the i finger starts the sweep it gives a far more powerful effect.

Any advice on this anyone?

i wouldn´t use that. I hurt my arm staring with the index finger.
If you want power do a m i i or p m p

I think Juan serrano does the ieam thing. it works for him.
But since your "new" at this i wouldn´t start with the index.
It´s much more natural for the fingers to go "a m i" or "eami" It will be nicer to your arm and hand.

Thanks. I just want to get it right the first time round and not have to change course mid-stream so to speak.

well

After learning a few basic rasgueados and realy controlling them you´ll find that tossing in a few new one wont take as much practice.
I can for example do the ieam now, how ever i never use it.
