This is the world's only "silent" guitar that can pick up golpes with the built-in electronics (rather than having to add an external set of electronics / pickups). Also, it is by far the one that becomes the smallest in size and is the highest in quality.
The main thing is the contact sensor for the golpes, which is not found in any other silent guitar but the MOOV Travel Guitar. Otherwise, if we're talking about piezo (under the saddle) elements, they all benefit from some kind of "treatment" with an amp sim or an IR. Yamaha has something like that going on with their SRT systems, but they are not going to measure up to the newer tech.
That’s a clever design, especially for players who travel frequently or need to practice without disturbing others. The ability to capture golpes through the built-in electronics is a particularly interesting feature, since that aspect of flamenco technique is often overlooked in compact or silent instruments. I’d be curious to hear how it compares to a traditional guitar in terms of feel and responsiveness, but it certainly looks like a practical option for practicing on the go.
