Dyed Green Veneer
I'm excited because I found a green veneer that I really like and I thought I would share this news with you. Most of the green veneer that I've found is a rather dull color but this is bright and vibrant. They're selling it by the "leaf" which is approximately 11" by 8 - 9 feet long and currently $3.50/square foot. Cheers. https://certainlywood.com/product/dyed-green-25042/

That is a nice green. Some of the others do look a little muddy and 1970’s avocado ;)
I never could find a vibrant green veneer I liked so I used some nice high rag content card stock from an art store that was colorfast. I used it on perfling with AYC ribs and WRC top and the contrasts was nice, the bright green and the yellow of the cedar.
Thanx for sharing.

I prefer my flamenco guitar spicy, doesn't have to be fast, should have some meat on the bones, can be raw or well done, as long as it doesn't sound like it's turning green on an elevator floor.
I like green, especially with rosewood, although it works well with most woods. I wonder if the supplier would cut the pieces into shippable lengths, probably worth asking.

I called and ordered two leaves. Since they're up to 9 feet long, I assume they loosely roll them up and put them in a box (probably a 12" cube). That's how I've received long veneers in the past. The UPS shipping is $32.11, NY to WA.
The avocado green looks great as your purfling on rosewood. I need the vibrant green for eye-popping rosettes.

I have been checking out these 60s era Hauser 2 guitars like the one I own of my fathers and they all have that striking green highlight that really pops in photos and videos. Unfortunately on my dad's guitar all that green wood highlights has turned dim yellow. Not sure what is up with that, from lights?
Interestingly I got to hang with Felipe Conde Crespo my last night in Madrid and I explained about the floral rosette and how the butterfly or X or what ever it is between the pink flowers, faded out from a green-blue to invisible over time from the light. Not only did he acknowledge the problem, he showed me a guitar he was working on where he deliberately cancelled the Bluegreen thing for a darker brownish outline of the "X" and he said after he does the shellac that it locks in the color outline permanently so there is no change over time with that style rosette. Pretty cool. And yes his guitar there was as good as I had remembered...he is the top guy IMO. Also maybe interesting is that he only does shellac now and he found a cool color mix to imitate the old nitro orange spray. He admitted the future touch ups would be a challenge but very much prefers to just French polish every guitar.
