Natasha Guitars NBSG Nylon

I've been looking for an alternative to the Yamaha Silent Guitar, and I came across the Natasha NBSG Nylon, so I decided to give it a try. This is a *really cool* instrument that does *so much* more than just what your typical guitar will. It is silent, thus you can practice quietly and not disturb others. It has real-time DSP effects (reverb, delay, chorus, distortion, EQ). It has a built-in tuner. It has a built-in wireless transmitter (so a wireless transmitter does not need to be plugged into the guitar, i.e. you get a really clean, sleek outcome) and the guitar comes with a wireless receiver, so you can plug the receiver into your PA, amp, or audio interface and play wirelessly (no more will you be tethered to cables!) for full freedom of movement. The guitar also connects to a smartphone app that functions as a metronome, allows nuanced adjustment of all DSP effect parameters, allows looping, and provides backing tracks for jamming. The loops and backing tracks from the app can be output via a USB cable (included) to your smartphone or computer for recording. You can also connect to the guitar via the app / Bluetooth to stream music / backing tracks from your phone. The guitar has a built-in battery (so no need for external 9V batteries) that can be charged via the USB-C cable (also the wireless receiver can be charged this way via USB-C). The guitar also has a built-in audio interface, so you can plug it into your phone / computer via the included USB-C cable and record directly into your device that way with surprisingly high quality and real-time DSP effects to enhance the sound. The guitar also has a connector for headphones so you can practice silently with real-time DSP effects, however, this is a TRRS connector so it also works with headsets that include a microphone, so you can also record yourself *singing* into the guitar and record / amplify that too! Via the app, the volume of the mic on the headset can also be separately adjusted from the under-saddle piezo of the guitar to get a good mix / balance of your vocals to the guitar sound. The guitar also comes with a high-quality gig bag and adapters for USB-A and lightning (for older iPhones) as well as a truss rod wrench. Also, the frames of the guitar come off, so you can turn it into a "stick" and store everything safely in the gig bag for travel. I have *never* seen a guitar do all of this, *and*, have really surprisingly good workmanship, tuners, fretwork, truss rod, etc. all for only $499 so I have to say I am really, *really* impressed.

Well if they handle the marketing half-sensibly Yamaha's in for a wake up call regarding their SLG200 series.

But for US buyers given the 30% tariff and how much discounted stock of the Yamahas there still is in the US that's going to take a while.

(Edited to reflect the fact that there is indeed now a model with 52mm nut. It's pictured on their Instagram.)

This time, plugged straight into my Windows desktop PC via USB-C cable from the guitar itself to the computer, with no devices in between. Reverb is DSP straight from the guitar. Of course, no impulse response, so you're hearing pure piezo tone.
