A three-and-a-half-minute picado

The late great Argentinian guitarist Juanjo Dominguez, casually banging out a ~170-180bpm im apoyando Moto Perpetuo:

Cool. I got the Racer X excerpt down that stops on G# (1:10). Too many notes to learn so I am stopping there.

Grisha and Jerome Mouffe in Austin:

Grisha said the first time he met Jerome, Jerome played "Flight of the Bumblebee" for him. So Grisha decided he had to learn it, to play for Jerome the next time they met.

Different piece and also different technique though - not picado but pami free stroke and muted. What Juanjo does with Paganini's "Moto Perpetuo" - im apoyando (picado) style - is much harder IMO, and it goes on for longer.

WTF man! I almost suffocated holding my breath for all this time until the end that my jaw dropped on the floor and I was finally able to breathe again!

I cannot imagine what could have happened to me if I was 20 years older.. Please give us a heads up before posting anything like this again in the future, and not just three and a half minute picado at 170 to 180 bpm , but something like: "Please meditate for at least 10 minutes before watching and have a wim hoff cold shower for 2 minutes and a breathing session, after that watch at your own risk!!!

Off topic:
Juan Alderete de la Peña on bass. His rhythm and time feel is so good! (but I prefer to listen to him in The Mars Volta).

Yeah but Gilbert's is at a measly 145-150 bpm

Guitar is the most difficult instrument to master. As compared to Bumblebee on piano, Grisha's Bumblebee sounds slow. Even two guitars can't beat one piano.

He launches into some 6’s right after the G# note.

That's insane.

I like how it's not until 2:20 that the guy in the background first shakes his head in disbelief. Tough crowd!
