I'm quite enjoying the Diego Carrasco 50 anos album. A bit leftfield and not for everyone, but it has a solid flamenco beat under all the eccentricity.

Is there era of flamenco albums just dead now? I feel like there's been nothing new for over a year (with the exception of Chicuelo's album)
nope, just most of it tends to be cante. check out deflamenco.com's page of new releases, there is usually a selection of new cds every 3-4 months from various artists.
Mijita's El Palacio de Cristal is worth a listen. Even if you're not a cante fan, opens with a Diego del Morao guitar belter. Nothing groundbreaking but a damned solid Jerez album that doesn't feel overproduced.
