Need help with Triana (tangos) chords

I found a local teacher who sings, plays guitar and dances. I hope I've finally found the person who can teach me accompaniment.

We started simple. I'm learning the chords to Triana, which I'm sure most of you have heard. I shot a video of her playing it so I could get the chord changes down before the next practice. There's one spot that is giving me trouble as the timing seems off.

(C)Cuando ponen al (F7)puente la (Bb)banderita (A)gitana

Cuando (C9)ponen al (F7)puente la (Bb)banderita (A)gitana

Up until that switch from A to C9, everything seemed to fall on a predictable beat in the compas. Also, in the video, she seems to have an "oh sh!t" moment right at that spot, so I can't tell if it's played properly or not. Can someone who is familier with this verse tell me how to count this in compas?

Yeah, I can't really follow that. It's really fast, isn't played por medio and it sounds like a different version of the song.

quote:

Cuando (C9)ponen al (F7)puente la (Bb)banderita (A)gitana

In the video he plays it por arriba so it will just confuse you....
Normally(or the way i´ve learned it)

Estribillo:

A7 Dm
Que bonita esta Triana

G7 C
Que bonita esta Triana

C9* F
Quando le ponen a su puente

Bb A
La banderita gitana

C9*(312311) barre 1st fret

The counting is just straight forward 1234,1234,1234,1234
if you´ve got any questions let me know.

saludos

the post messed up where I placed the chords...

Dm should be above triana
(1,2,3,4) (1,2,3,4)
Que bonita esta Triana

with the other letras exactly the same with the 2th chord

Sorry for the mess

at_leo_87, that's pretty much how she plays it with one major difference, she emphasizes that last "ponen" going from A to C9, and that's the part that feel rushed and awkward.

If she taught you the strumming pattern (not only the chords change), you should practice this strumming with a metronome or a compas loop.
Forget about the letra, just MECHANIZE the strumming pattern first.
Your compas feeling must be strong...

I am trying to figure out a chord at 1:30 in Miguel's Tangos de Triana. It sounds like some variation of E or rather E5. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Bolita is playing an E5 with a b9 (on the A string)
Guerrero is playing an Esus4b9
