Whats outside of your window?
Just having a little play around and its a fairly nice day ....so looking out of the window , near the computer ...I thought ....this is what I see ...but what do you see ?
This out the back of my house ,,,the front view I see quite a bit if I play in the sitting room...which I often do ...
So the question is ... In the room where you mainly play your Flamenco guitar ...What do you see when you look out of the window ? I need to tidy up out there , its dirtier than the photo makes it .....spring is springing .... ...

We've had something of a premature melt so a lot of it has gone already. I moved into this place in December shortly after a blizzard. I'm not even sure what's under the snow. I might find out a little earlier this year than expected if the warm weather we've had this week keeps up.

Shaun ..cool ..looking out of a window in Canada ....I like your shed , I need to build a bigger shed sometime ....and yours has a stove in it ....it must get pretty cold up there
Leñador ..what that sort of net effect ?.. like on your window ? flats are good ..I like living in the country except when it comes to cutting the grass ...it takes ages and when its all done ..next week I gotta do it all over again , cos it keep growing ...in the summer its all I seem to do ...that is the good thing about apartments ..besides its L.A. .with all the stars and universal studios, long beach and haight ashbury hippies..you should be out all day ..... its so quiete where I live i can run around naked and not be seen (as i explained to the police, it was just an experiment )
awsome to see what we all see ....every view is interesting to somebody else ...

in 2006 I swapped a view like Lenador's for a view like Kiko's

I'm trying to turn mine into a miniature "wildflower meadow" - supposedly good for wildlife, less boring to look at than just grass, and you only have to cut it once a year at the end of the summer

Good idea I think. There are seeds available for such, and you got to wonder why it has been spread so little over time. ( I know, one of the reasons being that neighbours can sue you if your meadow spreads into their lots. In some municipalties they can even sue you for the "untidy appearance". )
Regarding lawn I have once experienced a kind in Orange County which was really facinating. It was curled, very dense and pretty sturdy. Walking on it was like on springs.

You have no idea... The temperature dropped to -41 about a week and a half ago. That's about as cold as it gets in my city. Those days are great for staying in and playing guitar. The summers are actually really nice. I'll post some pictures of what it looks like here in a few months.

Come on Leñador .. you ruined L. A. for me... if I went there I would hope to be arrested by Kojak, and he'd better say "Who loves you, baby?" or Im outta there... and I wanna be like everyone else and eat my own organic/locally-sourced/vegan/non-food… and my own secret order at In N Out...
Also I now have a place to crash at night time ...behind your place ...in a dirty ally where homeless people hang out…….. thanks for the advice about that one ....
RE: Whats outside of your window? (in reply to El Kiko)
LOL It's a big diverse place. While the areas I tend to work and live in now are wealthy, green, and health conscious(they basically go hand and hand). The area of LA I grew up in was not far of from Tiajuana, taquerias and drive by's. The only vegan tacos we had would be vegans in our tacos lol
If I see you in the ally we'll share some drinks, out of a paper bag of course.

Looking out the glass door from my playroom.
I lived in an apartment for 18 years--nice view of the beach and the ocean--but I decided that after I retired I wanted to own some dirt--but I didn't want to sit around looking at my neighbors' fences.
It's been a cold winter for Texas. Water in the pool is only 55 F (13C), but it will warm up next month.
No clouds today, so not much of a sunset.

Chineese plastic can be found everywhere nowadays. I play in the patio sometimes, but often I dont like it. There are a lot of neighbours and even though they dont mind, I´not always up to that. Sometimes, I take my instrument, a chair and the dogs and put it all into the van and drive a few km out in the bush. Me playing, dogs goofing around. Sometimes I bring food and very often I take a little siesta. That is very relaxing.
Its very nice to play outdoors. The sound is very different and because there´s no walls, floor ceiling reflecting the sound, it always sound very good and pure.
