RE: New album by Vicente Amigo (in reply to KMMI77)
By the way - that bit where he is playing over the B minor in the opening of the tune - I hear the B note on string #5 being played twice, and I look at the video, he does something weird... Like a slap on the bass strings, but what you hear is strange in comparison to what you see... He is doing stuff with his left hand on that chord that I was far off in my "version"... Strange stuff. Thanks for bringing this up. Can you help with what I'm talking about? You hear that "slap" sound?

Yeah, when you go into the super nitty gritty of the way he is playing it, there are many many details I've missed in my tutorial... So much for the "80-20 rule" eh? If I were to be following it, I wouldn't / shouldn't have given a crap about this stuff we are discussing now.

Another source for chords. All I know is staff notation but chords not so much. Eflat--Cminor? If any one can whip up a translation in staff that would be good.
Hey, just noticed click on GRIPS and you get the chords. Anyone know how accurate the this stuff is? I love the is tune I have to fight listening again and again and having it go stale.

It's a nice chord progression. I will learn it. Could someone provide the scale to improvise on this?
There is more than one scale used. It is basically similar to Spain by Chick Corea...B minor key. The C# chord is an important passing chord can be treated as a dominant chord (C# phrygian).

I also notice that he is playing with the a and m fingers together during the majority of the arpeggio, rather than dragging the a finger over two strings.

Why is Vicente Amigo holding a 'Manuel Rodriguez'...? Product endorsement, no doubt, but of all of Spain's Flamenco Guitars, a made 'elsewhere' guitar?

My guess is that this guitar was some one in the TV studio wanted him to play it and just hold it for the interview so their viewers know he is a guitar player as he must have come to interview empty handed. He is a Reyes man since forever despite the trendy Devoe affairs and whatever cordobese amigos he does favors for.

Was that clip of him playing a guitar by Graciliano Perez just an endorsement?
I found it amusing that video of the arps in question where he can't help but have shots of the Reyes spliced in. The guy must be torn up about which guitar to play... for me it would be a no brainer.

Jeezz why not write it out in staff notation. That takes care of both hands.
The reason is that I cannot be bothered to write stuff down. It takes me much less time to prepare a video like this rather than to write / type / input into a tabbing software. I make the videos, and other people can transcribe from watching then they can put stuff down in writing.
