New album by Paco Serrano

I just read that Paco Serrano has released a new CD
after 13 years. It is titled 'Catarsis' and according to
his website is available for purchase. The MP3 won't be
available until September. He also has a new method book
which is due to be released very soon.
I'll be ordering both.

Anywhere any samples? I bought his previous CD. For that time beautiful compositions. Did he evolve to something different (w/o saying that it is pos or neg.)? Or same style? Im curious? Samples?

How old was he at the time of the Encuentro video? He looked really young there.

Paco was born in September 1964, and the Encuentro video was 1993.

Unbelievable!
While reading this topic the postman stood at my door with a nice green envelope which came all the way from Cordoba (Spain) to the Netherlands.
And guess what is in it....Paco's new CD 'Catarsis'.
When the Cd only sounds half as good as his previous CD 'Mi Camino' then I am a happy man. But I am sure it's another juwel worth waiting those 13 years.

Damn.....promissed my girl-friend to go shopping with her.....but want to listen Paco. What good excuse shall I use?

i'm waiting for mine too but i should just say that 25 Euros is expensive for the CD! There is no other way to have it ( like iTunes for example) they sell it only by a bank transfer. When i asked about the new book, they replied saying that it will be soon available on Paco's web site.

I tried to convince his partner, Olga, to accept Paypal but for
some reason she did not want to do that. Bank transfers get
expensive and are time-consuming.

Any reviews ?

I love most of his other stuff, I would love to hear it, but its expensive.

Also his new "Manual de guitarra", is out and it is 49€. Any one got it ?

I went to some classes in Cordoba with him last year and he is a fantastic teacher so I am really intrigued what he has come up with.

This is what it says on his website.

I think the new CD is great !

Its featured in the latest Nuestro Flamenco so you can listen to a fair bit of it for free, and
hear Paco talk about it.

As far as I can make out most of the material on the DVD and CD are different so I am looking forward to hear some folk here play some of the tracks from the CD.

the stuff on new DVD is not his CD stuff, it looks like lower level teaching stuff

a Great Album without any doubt !!
most of the pieces are catchy, they hook the listener from the very beginning
IMO Paco was up to the expectation, I was expecting something at a high level and thats what I found in his new CD. as Paul mentioned it's an album to be proud of, paco is a truly phenomenal player.
