Flamenco dancing horse

Simply lost for words....how on earth do you train a horse for this?

I see Mark and Elie enjoyed that, but I frankly didn't find it that impressive. I mean, the gal was doing most of the real taconeos. Maybe I'm just a sour puss.

I believe Tomatito has a workshop about that.

Horses are easier to train than musicians. You're not allowed to whip musicians. Still I think you could train Zorro to do something similar, using prime steak of course

well the idea of getting horses involved into flamenco is impressive ( at least for me )
also I don't get the chance to see dancing horses daily like you do romb or maybe I should say Kaiser Ramzi

Would you have preferred it if the horse was playing guitar?
Ramzi - Here is a horse actually keeping buleria compas at around 1.40.
Also the standing jumps at around 3.30
Maybe all Lebanese horses can do this but in Spain its quite rare.

Anyway, its obviously a lot of time and practise and the horse looked like he was enjoying it. Ears up, tail swishing and lots of saliva...thats a horse enjoying work.

RE: Flamenco dancing horse (in reply to Pimientito

In May, 2007 we stayed at a hotel in Jerez across the street from the Sandeman bodega. It was very convenient. If we got lost in the confusing streets, all we had to do was follow our noses back to the bodega.

Across the hotel courtyard were stables, also part of the hotel.

While we were there, a fashionable wedding reception took place. Part of the entertainment was a horse and a woman dancing flamenco in the courtyard. It might have been the ones on on Piementito's Youtube link.

Though not wedding guests, we enjoyed watching. The horse had pretty good compás.

jeeez, it's worse than I thought. The guitarist in flamenco has to follow the dancer, the singer, and now horses.

Uh, yeah, I'm going to need more money for this gig, I've played for some
famous horses.....................how do you expect me to play for these nags?

It must be where the word "canter-or" comes from!
