Spanish Medley, Me playing the Solo with Blanca Guitarra:
RE: ricardo marlow - cafe sole Tab (in reply to Florian)
I hate Jesse Cook and his music, or anything similar to it. I would NOT call this flamenco. but I can say you that you got some skills on the guitar, they look more like classical so far, rather than flamenco skills. I mean, I havent seen your alzapua, rasguedos and that kind of stuff yet.
I hate the fact that you yelled in the microphone, especially in places that are not musically exciting. what I hate more is your body movement!! STOP DANCING ON STAGE, its a BIG distraction and its NOT professional in my opinion. you never ever see classical or flamenco musicians OF ANY KIND (either Violinist, Guitarist..etc. ) standing, dancing, moving around and doing what you are doing.
you know whats left for you to do? jump on the stage, swing your body and act crazy like those crazy heavy Metal, punk, Rock n Roll crazy **** guitarists

will you send me the Tabs? of Cafe Sole ? :P
btw i will post Boleria Video Later on! ok
just to be clear, and fair.
1- I always keep my promises, I never ever go back down on my own words. deal is a deal, your deadline is April 12th, post your videos, we will have them judged by at least 5 people here, and then we will take the average score from the judges and see if you "pass" the challenge or not. if you pass, you win and get what you want. if you fail, then you better be prepared to answer some questions [:P]
2- no thank you, I DO NOT WANT a "Boleria" (thats the name of a certain variation of the arabic sweets Baklava/Baklawe), it could be the name of a Rumba of some sort, one of jesse cook's stuff or something.
I WANT a BULERIAS (12 beat palo ) video ,no headphones, no compas track in the background (no cheating).

What does this mean?
I prefer to listen someone who play well in compas with a "click" than someone who play approximative compas without "click" help. IMO it's worst to think that way : look how good I'am, I can play buleria without compasloop _ yeah but if your compas sucks, you better play with a click! It's harder for someone who have compas issue to play with a compas loop than the opposite!

actually Paco Fernandez is one who likes to use a strap on on his guitar and walks around while singing, and he likes to act like a clown while playing rumbas :)

sorry, I mean , I never judged before , but I see how it is done ......you have ti be good so It can be nerveracking , to pass judgment....but since this is not a challenge , then i could judge maybe....and remain impartial......like i have seen here......
i think thats what i mean ..........like practice......
RE: ricardo marlow - cafe sole Tab (in reply to XXX)
hey deniz, Im fully aware of that, I never said it was a classical performance. I said THE SKILLS (free and rest strokes ) are classical techniques, thats what i meant. I havent seen any flamenco techniques such as alzapua.

you know what? , I think you are missing the point. Solea is the mother of flamenco, and I think It must be played to give flamenco the right it deserves.
when I go on stage, I ALWAYS play Solea (usually the very first thing I play). I play what I want, what I feel like playing, whenever I want, I don't give a f**k about what the audience think, I don't care to please them with my Rumba or something flashy. I don't need to please them, because they are here to listen to me and im there to TRULY Express myself and not to LIE to myself by faking my self expression. Im not trying to impress anyone. if you mess up, they wont know and wont notice.
A lot of people out there (non-musicians) have a bad ear to music, and dont really know how to listen to music, dont really appreciate high quality music. I cant blame them, because of what they see and hear on TV. They listen to pop, metal, upbeat stuff, its all party kind of music that you would hear in bars, night clubs and parties.these people think that good music = something that excites their adrenaline glands and make them dance to it. THATS WHY people like the inferior form of flamenco Rumba.THATS HOW people like Jesse cook can become famous by pulling this sh*t off on the audience.
however, there is always those very few people witihin the crowd who appreciate the soft, quiet, emotional and complicated melodies of Solea or classical music or any music like that.
