Hi Tito,

I've just visited your website for a quick look around.

I'll have to dig out my Tomatito/Camilo 'Spain' CD again and give it another try - I love Tomatito's guitar playing but I couldn't get into this recording. It's a while since I've listened to it so maybe my listening has matured since the CD started moving to the back of the collection - I've been listening to a lot of Diego El Cigala recently so maybe I'll be more receptive to piano based music next time around?

Best of luck with your website!

Cheers

Brave attempt!

But there's already plenty of great lessons out there.

You'd need to have much better presentation to stick out.

In the videos i saw, the camera angle is horrible, and the playing is
just ok, and much of the time you're way off time with the palmas track.
That doesnt really make me want to learn anything from you.

If I were trying to make money with guitar lessons online . I would be focusing on the begginer . If we think of guitar players as a pyramid begginers make up the widest area at the bottom , experienced players that may be interested in your work are more likely to have found a way of thier own . Sadly also I found your presentation lacking .

I also agree that you should focus on the basics. The foundation in your lessons. Also carefully study what other online lessons are available so you can offer something different.

Hi friends, tanks for feedback

II gave guitar lessons a few years, I have had more students interested who schedules available. The online course came out of that need and request for guitarists who want to learn from me.

It's amazing how people ask me to teach Vicente Amigo, not happen to you?

Thanks, but i think Kevin is right on. Guitarists who have any chance of playing "Mandaito" or "Gitano DeLucia" are not going to be looking for online lessons, unless they are from Vicente Amigo himself.

Guitarists who are looking to spend money online for lessons, are intermediate and beginners.

I could probably play Gitano De Lucia if i really wanted to. But do you really think i'd pay YOU to teach it to me??

See what im saying?

the question is.. is there really a "valid" teaching? For example unorthodox techniques. Lets say two guitarrists, exactly same skilled in every thing. One guy plays with unorthodox technique (could be picado, right hand position, anything) but achieves the same sound as the guy with the "more" scholar technique. Is it really valid to say one teacher is better than the other (if they are equal in all other aspects).

The more i think about it, the more i come to the conclusion that even with the best teacher, you would still have to work out many things for your own maybe. A good advice is only good if it also works FOR YOU maybe. Sometimes very good teachers have found their way on how to do things and are decided on it. It can work for you too, but there is no guaranty.

Stereotype holdings, techniques are wrong. You know that. Whoever tells you "play with THIS holding coz its scholar or the best way, is a bad teacher.
Find your own way. Thats the only right way to play.

To the topic: The people are right.. You should teach beginners and intermediate players. Players who are able to play vicentes stuff are also able to learn it without any teacher. Intermediate players who ask you to teach that should be brought back on the right way and focus on compositions which fit to their level. The people always tend to try out things they cant play. Thats the reason why 90% of the amateur playing on youtube sucks. They could play beautifully old easier stuff, but they want to play like Vicente. Big mistake in my opinion.

I have to disagree here.. I'm sure there are efficient and non efficient ways of doing things.. maybe the efficient became the scholarly way of doing thing.. eg is picado where we will try to keep our fingers as close to the strings as possible with smallest movement possible..
and same with trying to attach the strings with the same finger position.. don't you think so too?

oh yeah about beginners like myself trying to sound like vincente, very true.. should just keep practicing technique so hopefully 1 day we can play better.. =)

I realized this later than I would have liked as well. Usually, it is a pattern I constantly have to control of back to basics, getting some basics down, and all of a sudden I am trying to play a complex falseta before I am ready. Back to basics, getting some basics down...

Flamenco is all about rhythm and the guitarist is like a drummer. The other day I listened to Camaron Flamenco Vivo. On this recording Tomatito's guitar sounds plunkety plunky, almost dead notes there. So percussive. He is very much like a drummer who plays melodies, not the other way around if that makes sense at this late hour.

You understood me wrong. That is not what I meant.

Its clear that you need small movements for afast picado.

I meant people who tell you, you have to play picado from the second joint and keep your hand 90° to the soundboard. Thats wrong. If you fell better to play from the 3rd joint, so do it. Then your hand is not anymore 90° to the soundboard. But if you are fast, so do it.
So forcing your hands into a position that doesn´t feel natural to you is always wrong.

Hey Guys

I think this happened some confusion here. First I do have great difficulty in English, and maybe I explained evil.

I'm working on promoting a full course online along with other guitar teachers. The Course is divided into modules.
1 - Basic
2 - Ritmos Flamenco
3 - Studies and exercises advanced
4 - Repertory (Sabicas, Niño Ricardo, Paco, Vicente and others)

Clearly the demand is greatest in module 1 and 2, However, I received requests for guitarists to create a specific module to show fingering Music Vicente Amigo, this module is the video "El Mandaito".

As the falsetto Vincent was shot in "making open ", ie shows that am I playing
I have used such disclosure, but the exercises are done in "closed socket" only focus on the arm and hand right / left, which viewed separately It's impossible to know who is playing.

Any doubts that occurred

1. There is a course aimed at advanced guitarists.
2. There is a course taught exclusively by me, I am coordinating a course JNTO other guitarists.

I appreciate the feedback because then i can understand failure of the course and what must be corrected.

Tanks
