Hello everyone my name is Carlo Antonio B. Juan. I live in the Philippines and i have been studying and pursuing a college degree in music emphasizing in Classical guitar performance. I've been playing guitar for about 6yrs now. I'm already 20 and it's only until now that i have recently started taking flamenco guitar seriously.
Flamenco resources here are scarce, so i live my flamenco nutrition through regular feeding on inspirational you tube videos by the greats! I really hope by joining this forum i would have that sense of that online community of equally addicted flamenco heads like me!
welcome to the forum! So - you are just 20 i.m.o., at that age I only knew how to spell the word "guitar" unfortunately...nearly everybody thinks that he started to late !
I too am brand new here.. I have only just started playing guitar, and having flamenco lessons here in Melbourne (Australia). I'm about 6 months in now, and completely rubbish, but am loving playing and learning all about different techniques.
Umm...I suppose I better tell you both now about the Foroflamenco initiation ceremony, where you have to post a video of yourselves downing a Yard of ale in one without throwing up.
No cheating now..
cheers,
Ron

Quit now! It's a disease, an addiction, soon all you will want to do is play, all the time. And as if you did not have enough to practice, you will obsess on practicing the challenges that they post on this forum.
You will hunt theory books, videos, web articles, teachers, you will try everything to get your fix. I won't even talk about the guitars...
Then you will want to travel to Spain, Seville, Jerez, Malaga, Cordoba. And then you will want to return, for 6 months.
Run! Run fast!... ahhh but you're already 6 months in.... it's already too late.
