Thank you Matic! Thats nice of you! I got the nice compas Jason used. So, I play it with the same speed as him. And I tapped with my foot on the ground during my playing.. It has a nice effect..
Well... ehm.. now I have another problem. I need to export the video in a small format which is good for youtube without loss of detail... I have no experience with that..
Which format is the best for youtube and which resolution? Please answer fast,...because I have not much time left...
RE: Flamenco-lessons.com turns 2 - A... (in reply to Doitsujin)
YouTube itself says it works best with mpg, mp4 formats, and thats true coz i uploaded an .avi file and it looked horrible. So, use a free encoder like virtual dub or better "SUPER" and choose mp4/mpg as format. As Codec you can use Divx, or Microsoft or whatever. Resolution 640. Just click around a little, youll notice if it works.
RE: Flamenco-lessons.com turns 2 - A... (in reply to Doitsujin)
The "SUPER" video software contained around 20 trojans.... And Virtual dub cant save mpgs...
I´ll try to upload wmv-format...
Now it is uploading. Do the videos have to be checked and accepted by youtube before you can see them?? If yes, I hope they check it in time.
A big thank you Jason. This falseta was harder than I thought at the beginning.. It was a great exercise for my thumb. I always had problems to play with the thumbs fastly over 3 strings in repetition. Now it works fine!
RE: Flamenco-lessons.com turns 2 - A... (in reply to Doitsujin)
SUPER software is freeware, if you downloaded it from their homepage it is very unlikely to contain trojans. I have antivir and it didnt found anything. But youre right about virtual dub! Sorry! No, im not in the challenge.

hahaha... Ron thats no dog.. Im grinding with my thumb towards the soundhole... It sounds like a dog..hehe.. There were also the bells from the church in the background..
RE: Flamenco-lessons.com turns 2 - A... (in reply to Doitsujin)
I have a light cold.. I heard my voice in the end and it sounds like all these wise Chinese oled kungfu-masters in the German synchronizations... hahaha..
RE: Flamenco-lessons.com turns 2 - A... (in reply to Doitsujin)
Todd you flashed me so hard with your alegria... I wasn't able to talk, eat drink or walk straight for two days!! You are a phenomenal player and I am happy you dont enter here.. hehe
Well,.. I think a big problem of my alegria attempt was the bad sound quality... This time it is a touch better, but the bass is still far over the top... And also the melody tones arent clsoe as nicely bright as in your alegria. That is the tone I want to get,..but Im still trying to ind out how that works.. Maybe you could give a small workshop "basic mastering for the flamenco guitar" ?
RE: Flamenco-lessons.com turns 2 - A... (in reply to Doitsujin)
Yes,. I didnt want to silence my audio too much.. I dont know how to make a too silent audio louder when the maximum is already reached but the audio is still not very loud..

Sorry ToddK. I didn't realize the dates were so close until after I announced my challenge. I am going to get my judging done later today and then people can start the discussion over on the Foro Advanced Challenge. I am excited to see who picks up accounts to my website.

Doit and Flo, thanks for the encouraging words guys!!
Seriously, that means alot to me.
Jason, i see you put up your scores and comments for the Advanced Challenge just as you said you would.
I want to thank you for the brutally frank, yet inspiring critiques!!! You are a straight shooter!
I think you're absolutely spot on. I will definately be working hard on all the points of weakness you mentioned. Thank you for the huge blessing of insight and knowledge!!
I plan to join in on your next challenge for sure!!

You are a fabulous musician Todd. I would still love to see you learn this challenge's falseta. Others have mentioned blisters on the thumb from working on it. That blister you get that turns into a really nice calous and means that you are a few steps closer to having your thumb thechnique in order. Nigel has the score and tab done for it and we will be releasing it tomorrow on my website. I will leave it here too in case you want to have a peek.
