Just catching up.....

Hola todos,

I've been spending a lot of time recently in UK due to aging parents but am now happy to be home for two weeks and catching up on everything including the forum.

Florian we would be very happy to act as judge on cante challenge. I think it is a great idea and look forward to it. It will be the biggest challenge yet.

Congrats Todd on winning the advanced. I thought everyone played extremely well. We have a high level of players here on the forum.

Work continues on the new studio which is looking amazing though still has a away to go before it opens its doors. It will be only one of three studios of this specificiation in Spain and it is in a beautiful location, not far from Granada, not far from the sea, not far from Simon's house in Spain in the Valle

Apart from all the design and building work Harold is doing for the studio he is also out touring with Faruquito doing sound production. He is off to Mexico, Washington, New York and Venezuela this summer. He is also going to Russia to do a live recording of an orchestra. His last live recording of an orchestra was earlier this year in Amsterdam where a classical orchestra worked together with various flamenco artists, such as Rafael de Utrera, to record a new version of Cameron's "Leyenda del Tiempo". This will be included in a documentary specifically looking at this song.

So it has been a busy year. I'm back in Wales at end of month to spend time with the old folks but if I get my way I will be heading to New York to see Faruquito there. Harold cant have all the fun !!

olé amigos

Thanks for the welcome home guys. Seems like I missed quite a bit but am finding the threads all very confusing, I keep reading the same thing.

Florian, Harold is delighted to be working with Farruquito. He's a lovely guy and a total professional, plus he gets to go to some great places, and of course the screaming adoring fans reminds him of the old days when he hung out with the Beatles. LOL Name dropping moi ???

I'll post the photos of the studio when it is all done. I was there today and it is looking amazing, they are putting the floor in with microphones under the boards for flamenco dancers ! Right now though it still resembles a building site !
