Well, it's been about 4.5 years, I guess. I'm still alive. How are you guys doing?

OMG! 4.5 years later....he replies! I'm already drawing social security and living in a old folks home.

How the heck are you? it's been a long, long, long time. I've often wondered what happened to you. You still at the church? Hopefully I'll still be alive in time to get your next reply.

Heh, I've been busy. Haven't been spending much time obsessing over flamenco like I did 5 years ago. Kinda got burned out on it. Every now and then, I'll break out the guitar and see what I can still play.

Yeah, the church has been great. Still going strong. We are one of the best known venues in town and have managed to maintain an "underground" status. My band uses it for a recording studio as well.

I never gave up on music though. I've been as busy as ever. I play several other styles of guitar, including electric lap and pedal steel, dobro, flatpicking. I also play oud and cumbus (a 12-string turkish folk instrument).

You can hear me playing a guitar(a rumba), pedal steel, and cumbus on this track:

Here's one where I'm playing eBowed steel guitar, also features our tabla player.

Oh! This summer I went with a dodgeball team, to Vegas, to win the world championship.

You want to catch me up on your last 4.5 years? You still selling instruments?

Patrick, yes, I still live in the church. We still have shows regularly.

www.funkychurch.com go to "miracles" link to see a schedule of events.

I saw you at the luthier's convention at L & C college. I said hi but I don't think you knew who I was and I was on the way out.

Mark, yes, like the dodgeball movie, but far more competitive and for far less money ($3000).

James,

That must have been at last years show. I didn't go this year. So how about some flamenco at the Church?
