Guitar supports are ridiculous things, as is the classical guitar posture, foot stools etc etc. What we have in reality, is a determination to keep the existing shape of the classical guitar, that clearly isn't suitable for the style of which it's employed in. If it was, there would be no need for crazy contraptions. Now I'm not saying my photoshop effort is the perfect solution, but unless builders are prepared to look at the shape of the guitar, and take a risk with a prototype, nothing will change. We'll still see insanity in the form of rests and bad backs. Mostly I play slumped back in my office chair, and hold the guitar very lazily, but it works for me. If I were to record something, or perform though, I'd have to sit up straight, and play in a very uncomfortable playing position. Who needs that?

If you were as old as Ramzi and had a woman who demanded as much performance in the bedroom, you’d be a cripple who needs a Dionician fixture to hold up your neck too.
