Sea kayaking, backyard astronomy, reading (mostly history and biography), listening to music (flamenco, classical, rock/pop--in about equal amounts), walking in the woods and fields, thinking.

Yeah! I've evolved from a backyard astronomer to an armchair astronomer, and haven't even done much of that for the last year or so. I still manage the walking bit - thanks to Dr. Fitzgerald, my dog.
Like kovachian I'm a bit of a computer geek and proud of it (I should practice more flamenco ....)

Well,.. beside work and flamenco, I write jokes for a comedy-show. They pay good.. The nice thing is, I just have to write down what I think all the day. But well,.. it feels strange somehow...

@Ron
Well,.. my whole life seems to be not real.. Its a big joke. But I'm sure to be in the real world because endless **** is coming down on me every day. If you are really interested in the answer to your question, I think its better for PMing.
You know,... the net has ears and eyes... (And I´m paranoid )

Nice car! I'm doin without a car now for a year and it works well. Everything by bike because its possible ofcourse
My main hobbies are (were?) aikido and playing the shakuhachi flute. I really like the japanese bamboe flutes and it keeps my mind at ease. After being a Ritalin-junkie for years, because of the hyperactivity disorder, I quitted the medicine and started playing flute...and that seems to do the trick!!!
Since I got interested in Flamenco (after seeing a video from La Paquera de Jerez) it's nowadays more Flamenco than playing flute, but a lot of times I have to play the flute because guitar playing can be so frustrating . On the flute the fingers stay fixed, but on the guitar they need to fly everywhere and do all kinds of "strange" movements.
But than again, I love it, and when I don't, I put on some records just to listen.

Well Flamenco takes up a good amount of my time year round but man does not live by Flamenco alone. I am an avid Sailor and I also enjoy biking, fishing and the odd round of golf... Sig--

I like to paint, write, write poetry, and while I am not busy with that and the musicial instruments I play, I like to contemplate Sociology, and Social Darwinism, and for good measure I like to throw in Politics, with a very strong Religious tone. Yeah, you might say that I am sort of a boring person with a keane eye and sensitivity for people and society in general. Though, I prefer to sequester myself into real life, and utilize the depths attainable in contemplating with dowism, and oh yeah I like to get in to the throws of normal living as well. And I am really the kind of person who likes to enjoy happyness, and longing for another. And you can't beat that for having an honest and open mind, and trying always to do what are the best and right things to do.
Other wise, right now I am wasting my time on the foro! Gary
