Wedding Gig

Hey all
I'm meeting tomorrow with a couple that is getting married next year. My question is, for those that perform at such gigs, what do you charge? And what is included in the price? The location is a good 2 hours away, so do I charge for transportation also? They said they want me to perform during their cocktail hour, so I assume I will just be background music....anyways, any kind of help/suggestions would be great!

jrabbz, I think you should check out this site here scroll down to the bottom that has i think a pretty good standard rate, at the bottom of the page, good stuff really.

and since you're in LA you should get together with my cousin, Quin Johnson. he's a super awesome piano player. gigs alot around town, does movies. hangs out as musical director for steve tyrell.... he's into south american stuff, might be fun if you are!
