there's alot of websites out there on building cases.... im not sure i understand what you mean by "how the flamenco guitar case build" ..... but if you really want to build a case lol, just google it and you'll pretty much find out you trace the guitar onto a board to use as a template. rout that out and copy it, glue them together.... and throw on some tolex or whatever covering you like. If you want to be a real stud, you could do a bunch of fancy stuff with aluminum extrusions and fancy recessed butterfly latches and ball corners.... but that'd weigh 20 kilos lol.

like i said, trace guitar, leave a margin around it of about 3/8 to 1/2 inch. cut everything out, laminate together. make the bottom most ply a solid piece without the middle removed, and make a lid. add hinges, foamy stuff for the interior, plush stuff for soft, coat it etc
if you already made a case, this shouldnt be hard

RE: Building Flamenco Guitar Case !!! (in reply to Raimundo

wood.....I'm not really sure why you would make a case out of paper... unless you mean trace the guitar onto paper.... wchich you could do. trace the guitar, leave about 1/2 inch of space around the guitar to accomodate for padding. so you would be cutting out a guitar shaped piece about 1/2 inch away for the line of your trace.

you would now have a board with a guitar shaped hole approximately 1/2 bigger in all directions. laminate this board onto several others (like a stack of pancakes) so they are about the depth of the guitar body. use the one you already cut as a template for cutting out the same space in the others. you now have a bunch of boards glued together with a guitar shaped hole that would be just a little more than the depth of your guitar.

glue one last board (3/8 inch plywood or whatever you prefer) to the bottom of the stack, and also clamp one on the top. now cut out the shape of the exterior of the case. all that's left is sanding, adding hinges and latches, a lip around the top, the covering and the padding =)

Raimundo, honestly the best way to do this is to sit down with a measuring tape, some paper and a pencil, and a guitar. you can look for websites all you like but they are only going to say what i have already told you. if you feel like it, make a mock up design out of cardboard. just sit down and do some thinking on the subject and see what you come up with. it may not be the best, but it'll be serviceable. I can almost gaurantee that in the end it will cost the same in materials as just buying a case. Best of luck
K

Raimundo..
You might also take a look at 19th century violin cases. The are called "coffin" cases because of the shape -- the sides taper straight from the lower bout to the peghead with no fancy joinery. Much easier to make. The profile only has 6 edges and 6 corners. I have a friend that is making one now for his Ramirez.

RE: Building Flamenco Guitar Case !!! (in reply to Raimundo

raimundo, I've had a few thoughts on the subject recently.

If ou are familiar with how to build guitars, you may have seen a side bending machine called the fox side bender. you could use a similar apparatus to steam and bend plywood or any kind of wood to conform to the shape you want your case to be. It would take alot of time, patience, and pressure, but it could be done. that way you'd have a very sleek, very well fit guitar case that would weigh less than the one i suggested earlier =). I can give you some more information if you like, but I can't give you plans...as i haven't really thought it thru too well yet lol.

RE: Building Flamenco Guitar Case !!! (in reply to HemeolaMan

HemeolaMan you talk about what i'm thinking about (the fox side bender) it will solve my problem and it will make the job more easy and more quality.

but i never meet this machine before i search for it in my country but i did not find any think can help me to bend the wood accept the high level factory which will ask for very big amount to bend my wood, so i think that i will order one from your country to start my plan of making the case . after i finish my machine i will list it in ebay (just joke)

any way thanks every body you friend help me a lot and give me lot of ideas to build my guitar case, i hope every body get some help from this information

i would use solid pine, or some other wood for the sides, and ply wood for the top and back.

If you want to join two pieces of the side, use dowels and glue, screws wont keep it together.

check out mimf.org they might have some stuff on building a side bender instead of shelling out alot of cash =)

If you need to know where to find leatherette covering for the case, and you can't find it in your country, I may be able to get some and ship it to you for cheap, I work for FedEx but i don; know if we ship to bahrain. =)
