What?

We have collaborated on two global flamenco MP3 tracks so far and a major record label is showing an interest in how these examples of cooperation might be packaged as an Internet service.

Somebody please explain what has happened since I've been away. When is the next track being recorded and what do I need to do to contribute?

James

Hi James,

There is not much happened, a lot of new members, and the third recording isn't coming of theground very quickly.
I have understand it is a hell of a job, so the vallunteers ( just like in the army)
have to be pointed I think, ha ha ha.

Just send a recording to the one who put it together, that is all you have to do. to join.

BTW, how is the hand?

greetings, Peter.

I meant the technology and cooperation via the Internet of course.

Have a look at the two news announcements on the home page and under Flamenco Jam for a history.

I guess nobody wants to tell you the truth, but I will. We've all become fabulously wealthy and are having dinner and drinks with Paco de Lucia next week after a private concert. Where have you been?

Hey guys, I will try to answer all your questions. I just read the 'flamenco jam' thread so I am caught up on that. Great playing, by the way.

I left in a smoke of depression caused from my lack of decent employment and chronic wrist pain. I took a long break from typing long emails and typing in general.....which is the best excuse for my silence.

Well, I am still living in Oregon which still has the highest unemployment rate in the USA, so I have about 5 jobs, some of them 'under the table'. I am getting paid to play for Solo Flamenco Dance Studio, which makes me enough to pay for strings. Also, I have been getting together with various musicians who want to get a fusion thing going. It will be flamenco-based and will have non-traditional instruments such as violin, cello and South Indian (Carnatic) percussion. I hope that will bring in some money in the next few months.

I have also been promoting small shows in my new home,
http://alivelyquiet.com/church/events.html
In the 'floorplan' section of the site, you can see a pic of me and my ex-girlfriend whom I met at the flamenco studio. No, I didn't get paid to build that website.

My wrist(s) still bug me and I ice them down frequently and they are definately better. My skills not only returned, but I am playing better than I ever have. I am pretty happy about that.

That's the skinny. How have you guys been, catch me up.

James

Zurdo, my email address hasn't changed, but if you send a large attachment, it ain't gonna make it. If there is something attached, send it to otherjamesmayer@yahoo.com

Well,

The real truth is.... everybody was drinking with P de L.

I was playing together with him and he thanks me a lot for the tips I gave him.

It is just a minoraty, but maybe interesting.....
