I think my 19th century style guitars are starting to look pretty good on the inside. Imbued with some historical building points like crimped liners. If I may say so myself.

It looks beautiful.

I will risk venturing onto your lawn to ask a couple of questions.

Is the top centre seam having cleats, rather than a strip also a historical building point?

I see each kerfing block/peone has a dot on it. Is that do with evidence of it's construction?

Thanks Orson, walk on my lawn anytime, play croquet if you like.

The holes in the glue blocks are from the awl I use to place them, it’s too difficult to do without fingers getting glue prints all over the inside. A few photos- the black stick is my block spacer and glue cleanup tool.

The cleats are probably present on many old guitars, but since most designs have a brace over the center seam they aren’t needed. I have seen cleats occasionally for various reasons.
